ok if i root with the dm updater can i unroot my phone the same way. cause if i root m y phone i just to overclock it and put the most plain jane froyo on my phone
Alright so I did this, and it worked great...blah blah blah.
I just noticed that after doing this, everytime my phone is locked, or the screen times out when I'm not using it, my LED is flashing RED. I dont have any messages or notificiations or anything.
And it only happen when the phone is locked and not in use.
Kinda I had to install the update stock from from dmupdater and then rename it to update.zip and go into recovery and install update. then find the forced update 2.1.zip and install that to get back to stock 2.1. so it is possible to get back to 2.0.1 without using rsdlite
I cant believe I am the only one getting an error message using this method. I have a droid x and when I try to install I get an error message that says "exception:[-] memory tricks: unknown error: 0"
Anyone have any ideas?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no luck.
Did you wipe your system and data cache at least twice each? 3x has been the recommended SOP for months now, but I've had good luck with wiping twice. YMMV.
No I didn't. I got a little too excited, got in a rush and didn't do enough reading.
However, I wiped my data from the recovery screen and that got me rolling with Froyo.
I will unroot tonight though. I don't know enough about flashing and ROMs and SPrecovery and such. Until I'm comfortable with that I'm not going to fiddle around with the device. I think I got in over my head.
i do have a quick questions with this i dl DM and now is running BB since ive been running that my DM app isnt showing now if in the future i wanted to un root do i go to my very first backup? see if it shows then unroot or try is there something in rom manager?
