New To Droid

My wife and I each got a Motorola Droid yesterday. We both had been researching this forum in the anticipation of getting Droids when we were eligible for our 2 year upgrade. You folks on this Forum need to be commended for the excellent job you have done and are doing. I am a senior citizen and was very concerned about going to a smart phone, but because of this forum the learning curve has been straightened considerably. Thanks again

New Droid Owner: one week in

Just wanted to say hi! Got my droid exactly a week ago and it has been a love hate relationship.

I am wholly unimpressed with the usability of this phone. The physical keypad sucks a big one. The lack of home screens with only 3 is crappy. The lack of physical send and end keys bugs me horribly. And the inability to change most features is disappointing to say the least. :icon_cussing:

This all being said, I have researched all of the current and future phones for Verizon (including the nexus one) and this phone is the best out there. :rating08:

So now I just need to learn how to root. Here we go… :icon_ banana:

Read up on the Droid here before you get it, and once it comes out of the box, you'll know exactly what you need/want to do with it and what programs to download. Hope you enjoy the new Droid and let us know when you have it.
