Hi I'm Jamie and I just got my first smartphone last week, the Motorola Droid. Before the Droid I just had one of the default phones that they give you so I'm excited to get my first smartphone. Unfortunatly my phone won't connect to the 3G network so I'm getting sent a replacement which hasn't arrived yet.

Hey Exodus615 checking in me and my dad recently purchased the droids i have Moto he has HTC i love the Droid the best phone i had i just recently came from Sprint i was excited bout having a Samsung Exclaim wrong not the way to go when u have the Motorola Droid calling your name Exodus Exodus Exodusssss.... i just noticed this thread. i've been spending a good deal of time here and at alldroid because, well, i like to play with stuff (cars, electronics, etc.). maybe it's the kid in me, or maybe it's the engineer, everything is mr. potato head to me.

Hello everyone! I am a new smart phone user "The Droid". I use to carry a laptop with with a data card and a Razer. Now, with the Droid, My shoulder doesn't hurt anymore, lugging that laptop around. I have had my Droid since Dec.09

Hey there. Just got a Droid. My first exposure to smartphones was the original iPhone, and then I moved from Denver to North Dakota where there is no AT$T so I went with the Storm when it came out. I then went in last week to check out the Pre(cheapest on eBay i could find) because I was so sick of the Storm and wanted something to get me by until the iPhone came to VZ or AT$T opens shop her next fall. Then I had them check and I was up for early renewal due to having a higher tier phone plan so I re-upped for the Droid. It's a really cool phone and I'm loving it so far. Just wish so many sites and videos didn't use flash. Anyway, I'm really interested in the rooting and bios flashing since i'm no stranger to jailbreaking iPhones and beta OS's on blackberry's. I really like the open nature of the Droid. Now i'm just seeing what all I can do with it.

Came to learn about my DROID, from others who use them.
Also hoping to find the proper solutions for correcting problems, such as constant audio muting, echoing, reverb feedback, dropped calls, and text messages I send out not being recieved by the other person half the time.
Hopefully this can be resolved before canning my DROID.

I use an Enterprise Digital Assistant (MC70) at work, annnnnnd I hate it. So a Windows based phone was off for me. I'm in the telecom industry and was waiting for my "new every two" and purchased this fantastic phone.
I've been trolling for a while, but hope to add and offer information soon.

Welcome! Your observations about the quality of this forum are correct.

I know this is an awesome device. I suggest, however, that if you wish to call Jesus, prayer is a better avenue. He has a direct line for communication!
