Ken here, brand new Droid user. Former IT pro with EDS & Verizon Information Systems (NOT the phone company part, but the phone book part).

Now a Registered Nurse in Critical Care. Hardly new to technology, but new to smart phones and new to the Droid. I love this thing--I'd better, it cost me and it's going to be my new PDA, calendar, video tool, GPS, satellite radio, weather alert, camera...and yes, PHONE! This thing rocks (all but the flat keyboard...what WERE they thinking??) I'll live with the keyboard due to everthing else under the galaxy this thing can do!

And salutations to the droid and open-source community. I hail from a background of sql, asp, perl and java web development and am currently making the transition to the mobile market. I'm a iphone convert so to speak due to at&t's lack of reliability but the more i learn about the android os, the more i like. I've browsed many of the android sites out there and droidforum is the best followed by phandroid. More later when i know more, in the meantime fellow droids keep computing and reject your programming.

New to smartphones

New user from Texas! I just bought my first smartphone over the weekend (Droid Eris). Unfortunatly I'm having GPS issues. I've posted my problem over in the Eris forum

Hi guys and dolls, I'm not really new. Your system locked me out when you did your upgrade the other day and I have been trying frantically to regain access. I did everything possible but no access. I did manage to log back in on my Droid but still can not log in on my PC. So I created another account. Then found out that I had to create another email as well. I'm really quite peeved actually. Why can't you guys leave things alone? If it works don't fix it. At least you can still say Droid Does, because I can access through my old account there.

In the earnest attempt at, er, friendliness and the great desire to learn all I possible can about the wondrous new world of Droid... here I am! I just got my Droid. I've been DYING for one and here it is *sigh* How did I ever live without it? This is my first smart phone. I LOVE IT! wow. No. I mean WOW!!!
