hey everyone!
i'm a new member and a new owner of a motorola droid. it's my first smart phone and it's fantastic. i wasn't really ready to completely transfer straight to a touch phone which is why i went with the droid. great transition i think.

now i just need to download some apps..

Let me briefly intoduce myself, my name is Mike and I go by the screen name "Mikethedroid". I am 67 years old and love gadgets, computers and golf. My screen name is a little presumptious as I do not have a Droid as I wrte this, but like so many others I have pre-ordered mine and will also be receiving it on Thursday. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas to arrive, it makes me feel younger----I can hardly wait to get my hands on it as it will be my first Smartphone. I wanted the IPhone when it came out, but I was to committed to Verizon and could not make the break---I am glad I waited. This website is fantastic as I do not feel like a lonesome person out by himself in the wilderness, I have found people like myself (only younger---I assume). I read everything so I will be more prepared on Thursday when it arrives. Only 48 hours to go (plus or minus a few).​

Since i received an ipod touch for christmas last year, and have been a VZW customer for a few years,I kept saying to myself.."if only this apple could talk i wouldn't need to carry around 2 different devices at the same time".So i broke down and bought the Motorola Droid a few weeks ago and haven't looked back since.Then i discovered what these droids were capable of, and Lo and Behold!.....here i am!!

Hi,

Im a new smartphone user. Just got the Droid Eris by HTC (verizon) I really like it. Its small, easy to use, and was the right price. Im sure I will have some questions and comments in the days/weeks to come. For alittle background I am getting mt MBA at U of L in entrepreneurship, I work from home in sales for my families skincare company. I am engaged to be married to my lovely fiance in October. Life is getting busy and I think it was the right time to upgrade. PS I am also very opinionated and sarcastic. Dont take me too seriously

I love my Droid

Been playing with ROM's, using ROM Manager premium, currently running UltimateDroid v10 with NexTheme. Thinking about trying CyanogenMod 5.0.6 this weekend.

You guys are a great source of answers, seems like every time I wonder how to do something on my Droid, I google it and end up here.

Howdy! Newbie here. I am now the proud, confused, frustrated owner of a Droid Incredible. I previously had the BB Curve 8330. I must say I am very overwhelmed with the DI. LOL I am going to convince myself (with your help, I am sure) that it is worth it and that I can't give in to frustration and revert back to the comfort zone of my former phone.

New to the forums, actually my first smart phone! Droid running Bekit's 5 step 1100mhz kernel, Ultimate Droid v10...not a fan of Rom Manager from the Market (i prefer to do it myself, heh) Anxious to see what this little thing can do! Cheers!
