I'm an old and loyal Moto Droid owner. I've had my "monsta" since November of 09. I recently rooted and haven't looked back since. I couldn't believe I didn't do it sooner. Now I'm out to see what cool new roms come out.

On a side note, I have been bashing some of my friends about the new ican't 4. It's been fun. I do it all in good fun though. I say to each their own unlike Mr. Jobs

@ELAINE1121 :You can uninstall a app by tapping menu>settings>manage applications>tap application you wish to remove and you should see a uninstall option. Hope this helps!!

Hi, I'm Flemming and purchased my X in Cape Cod last week. It is my first smart phone and it's a steep learning curve. While my kids have either Blackberry's or iPhones, I had a dumb one for far too long.

My only problems to date are the inability to connect to a pc and the random "droid" or "Verizon Wireless" sounds that come from the phone for no apparent reason. I still have much to research and learn.

I made the switch from BB Curve 8330 to Moto Droid last week (right before Droid X hit shelves, so I got a sweeeeeeeeeet deal for me and my wife). She's really angry so far, trying to adjust, but she's coming around.

I've already loaded up on apps from the DroidForums recommendations (Astrid, Barcode Scanner, KeyRing, Pandora, Skype, and Goggles came preloaded on mine). So I'm here to stay on the cutting edge, or, as close to cutting edge I can be with a soon-to-be taken off the shelves phone).

Nice. I hope to see the Droid X get rooted in the coming days. I am sticking with my MotoDroid 1 till the end of the year because I want a new phone for gingerbread, but I really don't want to see phones that can't be rooted. Would be a shame. Welcome!

I am a new DROID user (about 1 month) and so excited! Although a goal, the means and time for getting here were serendipitous. So, I am living in the DROID, not DROID X world. It surpasses my dieing HTC model.

well im technically still a bb user.:blackberry: i have had the bb storm and bb storm 2:byeBB: but when i wake in the morning im hoping my droid X will be here anddancedroid i can join all of you in the droid world...been reading alot about it so i think it should be alot of fun but is there anything you current users would like to let me know?? or any good, fun, new apps that i wouldnt of seen in bb app world (cough joke), my g/f :heart: will also be getting the X but shes coming from the voyager as she has never had a smart phone. from what i hear it should get its own catagory= superphone. and plz tell me there is an eaiser way of getting movies and videos to the x i had a terrible time adding vid to the bb :icon_evil:....is there anything like the bb messanger where just droid onwers can make groups and chat about things they have in common? would really like a mma,vegas,chevy,offroad chat......also just so i get this right android is the os and droid is the type of phone? or is that way wrong? i look forward to any help i get or i can give!
