Hello:
Just got the Droid X and it is an Xcellent phone. I'm new to the Android platform, but love learning new things. I look forward to learning many tips and tricks from this forum.
yeah boi!!

I have had my Milestone for about three weeks and continue to be amazed by what it will do. I set my gmail account up to pull my work email and have no problems accessing the work email I can send and recieve work email through gmail and none of my emails have that pretensious little "sent using my blackberry" tag. I carried a sony Clie th55 for years synced to outlook it was a life saver for keeping me organized. Last year I replaced my work computer with vista and office 2007 and my sony lost the ability to talk to my new computer. I decided it was time to make the move to a device that would do what my sony did and also serve as a phone. The Milestone is a similar size I love the screen and all the capability and I continue to discover new apps and features. I like that I do not have to remember to hot sync it everything syncs through my google account automatically. Big fan of the phone and android so far. Time will tell.

Who, Me?

Hey I'm Shauna.

First off, If I knew how to make a cell phone I totally would! I miss my Nokia with all the preset themes and my Kyocera with the cool flashing screen in different rhythms and I miss having the option to change the sounds when u select something or type numbers or letters in a text. Ahhh those were the days but it seems like I'm the only one that misses that stuff and that's why it isn't standard in most phones.
I think that MotoDroid :greendroid: has the promise of a bright future and lord knows I'll be pulling for them all the way. Maybe I should learn how to make apps.... maybe someone will take that challenge on. Ive suggested it to some keyboard app ppl but they don't seem to care or maybe its too hard.

About me... I'm a chick that works hard and plays hard and nicely with adults and children. My daughter is almost 2 and she LOVES "Toddler Lock". When an app tells you "this is not intended to be used as a babysitter", it HAS to be good! LOL

I'm always looking for cool new apps to try, so if anyone has some suggestions, hit me up! Shauna

P.S. I Love MotoDroid!dancedroid

Geek at Heart

Love smartphones... I have had a number of them for the past few years. I just switched from BlackBerry Storm to the Droid X. Still figuring out how to use it. This forum looks like a good place to learn.

Thanks,
Don

stopping in to say hi, everyone calls me mr.havoc.....why i couldnt tell you....anyway i had cricket (metro pcs) HORRIBLE. i tried sprint..BETTER. went to at&t..LOVED IT..and then.....verizon had the storm..haha. when i signed up with verizon i ended up getting 2 blackberry storms (buy one get one). i wanted the moto droid but noone told me they were also buy one get one so i got stuck with a storm..i personally never had a real problem with them BUT my wife on the other hand....HATES the storm, and i mean with a passion! i promise you if she had her htc eris already that storm would be set on fire. we both ordered the eris and ive already received mine, cant honestly say i have any complaints, i was expecting horrible battery life but shockingly it lasted quite a while. i was on the android market, internet, texting, took some pictures, and made some phone calls. i had good use for approx 13 hours before i got a warning of 15% battery left. i havent had any complaints thus far so we shall see!

as for the forum itself...i love it! everyone so far has been helpful, the forums easy to search, have found just about everything i needed to know. im going to recommend this site to anyone that is or plans to be a droid user!!

hello all, my name is Joseph, born in Pittsburgh, PA, now residing in Ventura County, CA. i love ice hockey even though i don't live on that coast anymore. to be honest, the only reason i picked up a MotoDroid, was because it had a Pittsburgh Penguins app available for the phone. my cousin told me about it and i just about **** myself, plus the iHeartRadio app let me listen to broadcasts when i couldn't catch a game on TV. well now that hockey season's over, i've been researching my phone and realizing i've barely been scratching the surface. i've lurked this forum since i got my phone last November, apparently around when they came out. i've been pretty happy with my phone, but now i'm leaning towards rooting it and seeing what this thing can really do.

I am currently using a Blackberry Curve but want to get the Droid 2 when it comes out however, I hear & read that you cannot enlarge the font. Of course I have read about Spare Parts, etc. but not everyone thinks those apps are great or that they even work. I also use aol email and have read that people have problems with that. Before I buy the Droid 2, I want to know for sure, is there an app that can be downloaded to enlarge the font in email and text messages, and is aol email compatible with the Droid 2? Is there an icon for aol email or do you have to go through aol.com to retrieve your email?? Help please! Thanks!
