Picked up my Droid October 2009 and it is my first real smart phone. Last phone was an upstage. I didn’t want to go with Apple. After 10 months of great service I am looking to explore more of what the platform and os has to offer. I want to learn how to root and customize my experience.

thanks
John

I'm also known as old mother goth and love my droid to keep up with my friends on yahoo. I have very very limited tech skills but struggle to learn.

I'm looking to find a way to migrate my music from ipod touch to droid with a similar feel/useability.

I'm back after a long hiatus. When the site first started I was here with my MOTO Droid. I went back to Blackberry and got an S2 which I still have. I just picked up a Dinc on eBay and am enjoying the change. My profile was not even deleted when I left in December. You guys must have known I was coming back. Anyways I hope to pick up some great info on my phone while here.

Hi all!

Thanks for this forum, I've had a few questions answered already! I'm loving my Droid X and it's my first smart phone -well worth the wait!

Glad to have found this site. The Droid X is my first smartphone; when the iPhone first came out I was unwilling to leave Verizon for AT&T so I got the LG Dare instead. Which was like having a regular phone but with an amazingly slow touchscreen. Being on the Droid platform has been amazing, and I've barely customized it yet - just having web browsing and gmail access has been like a tech rebirth.

I came here to see if people are having any battery issues, but I'll stay for app recommendations and phone hackery.

It has finally happend! After 10 years with my beloved and ever faithful BlackBerry I have left it behind. I was an very difficult decision for me. I'm sure some of you can relate. When the first Droid was released on Big Red I literally spent almost a full day wandering around the store trying to decide. I must have called everyone I know and asked them what they think. Most said "Dude you'll F'n love it!". I still couldn't make the jump. I felt like I was betraying a sacred trust almost getting a divorce. I then saw the HTC Incredible and was in love damn the guilt! It was everything I wanted. I was waiting for my "New every two" to be up I was going to get it. As I was watching the clock and buying my time along comes the X. After all the waiting and mental anguish I'm glad that I waited. According to the FedEx tracker My new love affair will start before 7 p.m. I very confident of my decision. I can't remember when I've been so excited to get a new phone.
