Hey, I am new here. I currently have a Motorola Droid, which is my first smartphone, and I am glad it's the one I chose. About a month ago I rooted it for the first time, and after a few different roms, I am currently running Lithium with the alternative dark theme. My contract isn't up for quite a while, but the next phone I get will be an android phone for sure, hopefully with root access and a hacked bootloader.

Hello Droid Gang,

Just wanted to intruduce myself. I have a Moto Droid Fully Flashed to Cricket and I'm interested in how to get my 3G to work after a rom flash. Also I want to get the Moto Droid X. Later

Hello

I am technologically challenged when it comes to smartphones. I got a Droid a couple of months ago, job requirement. Now, I would like to learn to use this thing to take advantage of all that it has to offer. Hope I don't annoy too many people with all of my questions :p

I've been with Verizon since the beginning on a variety of phones. By far, ruling the air with my stock D1. ( ya right * snicker * most reading this) I call mine "The Whole or The Hole" depending on who's referring 2 it. One can get sucked right in 2 this thing because its like having the entire world in the palm of your hand. Very convenient and very addicting. I cannot Google Sky or Earth enough, anyone else about make themselves sick flying around the planet. I highly recommended checking out Patagonia. I'm really glad I have the original, its a tool anyone can use 2 express themselves about whatever they want 2 express No problems fast smooth running LP with 5 home screens; snaptic 3 banana & AK notes.
Anyway about me, I've found myself a precision machinist because of numbers and creation. I value both. The most satisfying part 2 date was the TIM Shell housing 4 CU Laboratory, all three are operational in orbit. 28+lbs starting stock weighed less then 4 lbs complete. Harley-Davison is my legion, current everydayer 03FXDXT @ +80k miles. I'm also by birth a game hunter, catcher of fish & gardner because I like 2 cook & eat. I make Genuine Original Yesterwear, naturally tanned custom hide apparel. I build High Performance Harley-Davison & Ford power trains. I study philosophy. I practice saxophone & a number of instruments. I also experiment with the application of multi media art. I'm a Proud member of VFW Post 9741 US Army 5th INF DIV MECH 1/6 Field Artillery 13F Forward Observer. Not enough time in th day ? ... me too!! Ya right whatever Congratulations 2 U in your success with all th things U have successfully accomplished ( once again blaa blaa blaa yada yada yada) Nice 2 b allowed 2 participate in this forum #ridesafe

new to droid forum

I just joined the forum. I just got an update on my moto droid that changed my home screen completely! Is there any way I can get back to my original droid home screen? I hate this new one! Thank you

I just got an update on my moto droid that changed my home screen completely!

This ought to start a flurry of discussion about 2.2 rolling out on D1. Smittysgirl, I'm sure you'll get an answer if this was an update to Android OS 2.2....but you ought to look at all the great new features like voice dialing from Bluetooth, storing apps on SD card....and more, before you roll back to 2.1.

....that is, if this change to your homescreen is from an OS update.

Long time lurker here. Decided to take the plunge today. I've been with VZW from the beginning. Started with an old school Moto flip phone from AirTouch. My mobile journey took me through a Timeport (first VZW-branded phone), T720, LG VX6100, VX8300, Samsung Alias, and now a Droid.

I've had my D1 for about 4 months now and from reading the Froyo update threads, I'm probably at the bottom of the totem pole as far as receiving the OTA update is concerned. Then again from what it looks like no one is really certain.

With that said, this is one sweet phone and as time passes I might cross over to the dark side once the warranty is up...

Hey everyone,

Coming from an iphone my first android device was the Evo 4g. Returned it recently as I felt it was too large for me and now have the Droid 2.

Looking forward to meeting other droid users and being apart of the community!

Cheers

New Droid

:greendroid: I couldn't wait to get a Droid. I'm a half geek my brother is a full time geek who works for a company that beings with "O"..... I have wanted to take it back but after 3 days I am starting to like it better than I did my last phone. Now if I can just figure out how to view all my contacts I'll be alot happier!:icon_eek:

Don't give up!

I'd say a solid week is needed to fully adjust to the Android operating system.

Just keep scouring the forums and you should find answers to all your questions!

This is my first forum experience so be gentle. I've had a Motorola Droid for about four month and felt it was time I looked into extending what I know about it.

I listen a lot. Not much of a technical kinda guy but I can read.
So thanks in advance for your exchanges.
