First "smart" phone was an LG Dare. It was a pretty good phone for its day, but it was afterall....just a phone.

A Droid now....is much more. I will be in continous heaven whilst learning the ins-and-outs.

I've been lurking the site for quite awhile, and decided to join so that I can ask a question. The question is:

Has anybody heard anything about a solar powered battery charging case for droid? Ive heard they have one for the iphone... Sounds amazing and I would love one for my droid 2.

Anyways, I love the forum so far as there is TONS and TONS of useful info for newbiews like myself. I had a blackberry storm before I upgraded to the droid... I thought the BBerry was cool, until I found the droid. The first time I saw the droid, my friend showed me his google skymap, and a few of his widgets. I was amazed and HAD to have one. Now i've had my droid for two months, and im still learning new things about it everyday! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my droid!!

Have a Blackberry Storm now and have never liked it. So many drill downs, behind the scenes things slowing it down, buttons in bad places, etc. Ugh.

Bought an iPad and LOVE LOVE it! Love the apps store but I am on the Verizon network.

What to do -- a great phone (iphone) or great network (Verizon)!

Drive a lot in US so couldn't give up my Verizon network so ordered a Droid X. Coming tomorrow. Am hoping I will like it! Trying to learn about the Droid world now.

I think you will love your Droid X!! I think it is just as good, if not better than the iPhone. I've had mine for a couple weeks & I absolutely love it. My husband has a Storm 2 & now he wants a Droid X & he is a major tech geek. Enjoy!!!!
