Hello all. I finally ditched my Samsung Omnia for a Droid Incredible. I was going to try to wait for the Bionic, but I jumped. I now am rooted thanks to Enlighten and I'm looking forward to learning more and having fun.

Hello!
I've been using a stock Droid Eris for the last year and have been happy with it, but work just bought me a Drod 2 Global. After seeing all the fun my Brother in Law has had with his rooted Droid X, I decided: Yes Indeed, I must root this phone!
The Threads here have been very helpful and I'm now rooted. Time to get into some trouble :icon_evil:

Greetings!

I just bought my wife the Verizon iPhone and I am getting her Droid Incredible. I am very excited to be a part of this community/forums and looking forward to rooting the phone and trying some new ROMs.

Hey, all... How goes it?

I am here looking into Android phones; I am already on Verizon. Hope I am in the right place. I have read the banning guidelines and the guidelines of conduct posts.

I'm interested in performance for my dollar, so there is a fair chance Motorola might not get my cash - after all, there is Samsung, HTC and LG.

To be as polite as possible, I have not developed any respect at all through my personal experiences with my smart phone on Verizon, I'm mostly disappointed in the software offerings. This tells me Android is probably what I want. I have toyed with a few live Androids at stores, I like what I am seeing, but I think I may need a few answers to questions.... so, if you'll have me, here I am!

intro

Hello All,

I am tbone802, been lurking this forum since before I got my DX back in August but am just finally joining after rooting my phone this morning. I love my phone but now I am ready to really use it to the potential it can be brought to. I would say I am not a complete noob when it comes to most of this stuff, but I feel I still have a lot to learn.

Hello!

I have the Huawei Ascend from Cricket. Im just here looking for answers on some of the problems I'm having with this phone.

I gave up on my blackberry storm and bought a D2 A957 (R2-D2). I'm not getting alot of help from Motorola or Verizon with some issues I'm having so I decided to become a member and do some research. I'd like to learn how to backup my phone/restore it from my PC, root my phone, fix the POP3 email not showing read or deleted on my PC after reading/deleting emails, and possibly write software to combine all email accounts (including gmail) and text messages in one universal inbox (if it doesn't already exist).

Hey everyone. I got my new phone on my 40th birthday. I went from a flip phone with only talk to a Droid. Wow! what was I thinking...lol just kidding. I am really enjoying my new phone. I am thankful for this board I found just googling a question about my phone. :)

Hi, Ive had my DX since late november, BLk Friday to be specific, But i have used android since the release of the Eris, before that it was the EnV2. Ive pretty much settled into the Android OS and Loving the DX.

Smartphone for a not so smart user!!

My name is Don, I'm 64 and I hale from Iowa. I've had the Verizon Droid2 Global for about 3 weeks now and because of this site I am learning a lot since you all are so willing to share your expertise. It's easy to travel a path someone else has marked for you to follow; so a big thanks to each of you. I try to stay on the "edge" of new developments, but it's getting harder to do so. I'd appreciate anyone giving me a "must" do list to start off on the right foot with my phone. I have no idea what "rooting" is other than my dog burying his bone...LOL! I'm enjoying the D2G and had thought of maybe exchanging it for the DX or even the iphone. It's just my personal phone, not for business and not for international use. Any thoughts I'd appreciate to hear. Again, thanks for sharing your knowledge and making this a journey easier traveled.
