Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

First, thanks to samuriHL for the mechanism to update my Bionic to ICS (232). Very cool!

I vowed to wait for the OTA release, but couldn't take it anymore - especially since both of my son's got the ICS OTA updates on their RAZRs.

The 232 update is running smoothly, with one exception. When powering the phone on I get the boot screen with the header that says "ap fastboot (s) (flash failure)". This is no big deal, as I leave the phone on most of the time and, if I do need to restart, I can start up through the recovery screen. Is there any easy way to fix this - other than redoing the install? If not, I have no problem waiting for the official release.

One other thing - I'm still at 1.0 ghz. Should this release have upped my phone to 1.2 ghz, or is that a change I need to make manually?

U have a cdt failure go to my 5.5.5.893 fxz thread an downlod the fix cdt in step 5 as for the 1.2 bump if ur phone doesnt pass the updates stress test u will not get the 1.2 bump just use the tweakerz oc app to oc it

You need to flash something to the phone successfully in order to fix that.

1) Extract the cdt.bin from the 232 update zip in the 232 directory
2) Open a cmd prompt in the House Of Bionic directory
3) Boot your phone into AP Fastboot, connect it to USB and let it be recognized
4) type the following on your command prompt: utils\moto-fastboot flash cdt.bin 232\cdt.bin

That should fix you up.

Lmao see samuri u need to include my fix cdt script in HOB

Yes, I'm aware. My users use 235+ so I have to take that into account. I'll take care of it when I don't work a 12+ hour day. P.S. The 232 cdt.bin is *NOT* identical to 905. Same security versions, but, the hash is different.

True but when i comes to cdts security is all that matters the hash only difines the date an time they were created an dont cause failures

A cdt is a fail safe thats why its flashed first cuz its the one that stops the fxz process so u can recover ur phone now u swap the cdts so it passes the fail safe then it starts flashing the files that are incompatible ie new security causing a non recoverable brick

Unless u have the compatible img files that is

5.1 released

o) Add new R) repair AP Fastboot option on install/reinstall option menus to extract and flash cdt.bin using moto-fastboot

This is untested, so, please let me know if it works. Thanks!
