Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

Yup. I'm going to put out a new release maybe tonight. I came up with a way to *FULLY* automate updating it well into the future. Basically you can replace the fxz, add updates, etc and it'll be fully automated with no changes needed whatsoever to the HoB script when the new version comes out. It might be 5.0. And it'll work for future releases. Say we get ICS OTA, then ICS FXZ, then JB leaks.....drop that stuff in to the HoB dir and it'll be supported.

Stupid Boot Logo

Tried going back from 231 to 905. I *didn't* get an error, instead it finished and rebooted. I saw a little box with an android, and a loading bar. That finished (though it looked kinda like it was going to load another bar) and my phone rebooted, and now it's sitting at the M boot logo, for about 20 minutes. I tried a full wipe, and the same exact thing.

Any ideas?

There is no 231. What exactly were you trying to do? You should NOT be going from an ICS build to 905 while trying to keep data. I don't support people trying to do that.

5.0 Released

o) FINALLY finished making the House of Bionic 100% dynamic now. It can even be used by other Moto phones with a VERY minor tweak. PM me if you want instructions for how to do it.
o) Fixed bugs no one discovered. Didn't affect the install but the script wasn't doing the right thing.

No modifications are necessary to update to a new ICS FXZ. New updates are easily added (see OP). This is really about as useful as I can make it. Enjoy!

I'm probably mis-remembering the version. The second ICS leak. I never flashed to 232, and I finally got a free night, so I figured I'd give it a whirl.

I did the full rsd xml after the save data one didn't work.

I'm not new to this, and have used rsd lite before (obviously) and this is the first time I've had a problem.

Any advice is welcome. :-)

Edit: The SWDL file has a few "generic failure when sending command" errors. Would it be appropriate to dump the log here?

Those are the versions. So you're trying to go from an older ICS build to 232? That's supported. :)

Ok, so, you used the FXZ options in the HoB? WHY?! :D You should have just chosen to install the version you were wanting to go to (232 in this case). At this point, you'll need to FXZ completely back to 905, then just boot to recovery and install 232. AGAIN. :) Should fix it.

The droid bionic will not be receiving JB only the razr series will

I refuse to believe that. Moto went through a HELL of a lot of effort to unify the builds on all the different phones with similar hardware. JB isn't a huge update compared to GB->ICS. And moto has said they will honor google's wish for 18 months of support. They have 6 months to push out a JB build.

True but moto web site stated what phones will be receiving JB an the bionic was not one of the. :(

Clearly I didn't understand exactly how easy you made it! I thought I had to go back to 905, and then go to the ICS leak I wanted.

Well, that'll teach me. So, it's normal for my fresh 905 system to not boot? I figured if I went back to 905, it would at least boot up like normal.

What about root? Will I be able to root on the ICS leak? (232, in this case)
