Droid 1/2 Extended Battery

Well after a full days use which included some moderate internet, several texts and Google talk, 4 solid hours of running Pandora also some web and emails while Pandora was playing and probably 4 reboots (nothing to do with the battery) I had 20% left on the battery as of midnight.

I took the phone off the charger at 1:00PM and at 12:00AM (11 hours later) it was down to 20%. It is now 2:47AM and it is still sitting at 20% although I really haven't used it much in the past couple hours.

Hopefully I will notice a bigger difference after a few charges but so far I'm not seeing much of a battery increase if any, from the stock battery.

Edit:

It just did the low battery beep. its now at 15% at 3:01AM

wtf how did you get 11 hours even though you had pandora running for 4 hours straight

Subscribing to this topic... I might have to drop the 50 bones on this extended battery. Anyone else want to report their differences in battery life with the stock battery vs the extended battery? Thanks for all the information you have posted rhino, it has really helped.

if this is 1880mah what is the original droid 1 battery?
1400 I believe

Im hoping they make an extended cover for the r2d2 version now :P

Is you battery life really that bad? With the stock battery I get 12-14 hours of hard use 2-3 phone calls, 2 hr GPS, 2 hr Blue tooth, (off when not needed) , news feeds, email, and several YouTube vids, and 30 minutes of Slacker.
My battery app says 20 hrs but that's just silly, I've run it until shut down at 18 hrs once. Don't use a task killer anymore screen brightness low and Both radios off when I don't need them.

That being said, after work a few weeks ago, I was using my GPS app Sports Tracker when playing Golf only got about 13 hrs before shut down. Bigger battery is always a good thing.

I was thinking about getting the Seidio 2600 mAh but it sticks out about 1/4" way too clunky, this seems like a good comprimise.

I'm wondering if these went on backorder because I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and have yet to receive the shipping information email.

hey everyone using the blue D2 battery, If you want to make it look black again, try using this stuff. I hear it works wonders. Many people use it on my car forum for blacking out exterior parts. It should work pretty good on the battery. it is a flat black rubberized coating.

Plasti Dip Protective Coating Products | Synthetic Rubber Dip Coating (i'm referring to the spray)

you can probably find it at an automotive parts store or maybe lowes or home depot

Plasti-Dip International 11203-6 Coatng Grip&Guard Bk11oz

I called just about every store in Houston, TX went ahead order it online since they are all out. Just FYI normal price is 49.99 but I get a 25% discount had to call support to process the order cuz wouldn't give me my discount after adding to cart.

Thanks.. :icon_ banana:

Anybody know of a case that might work with this? I have to have my droid covered. Its been in a case since day 1 back in november. Not a scratch or blemish on it.
