Droid 1/2 Extended Battery

Stock battery is killing me by the way. I was just streaming flash video while the phone was plugged in to my computer (charging?) and my battery level was actually going down. I was like WTF!??! I don't know how it can loose power while plugged in!

Another Droid user finds out that Steve Jobs has a point about Flash.

Flash is HORRIBLE for mobile devices AKA battery sucker. But yes....you do have a choice. :icon_ banana:

Just got mine from the Fed-ex man. I can confirm that it fits and works in the original Droid. The factory door does not fit, you'll need to use the battery door that comes with the extended battery. That fits fine other than the color is blue.

It DOES fit in my Motorola car dock, but you need to really push it in. I can see that it may stress the phone housing if you do this often. Someone here modified their car dock by shaving some plastic from it.

Something I didn't think about ahead of time: I thought this would be a good extra battery to take along in case my battery runs out when I'm away from home. BUT, I'll also have to take the battery door too as the stock battery and this extended battery use different battery doors. Bummer.

How did you get it for 26 dollars with overnight shipping? Are you using another coupon with the battery coupon?

Ya, I wouldn't promote Flash either if I made a phone where the battery wasn't easily replaceable and there were no extended batteries available

Ordered through customer service and said I heard people were getting free overnight shipping as a promotion and the lady shed do it. You can get anything u want using customer service. I never go into a store or by off the website anymore.

Howdy folks. Thanks for the discount codes and all the testing data that all of you have done. I really do appreciate it. I just ordered an extended battery for my Droid 1 and hopefully will get it Friday.

Here's a question. I managed to get a shell holster (MOTA855HOCCC) when I first bought the Droid. For those that are currently testing out your ext battery, does it fit that one case? I'll try testing that theory hopefully this weekend. Thanks again.

I have had the seidio extended battery, yeah the big one, and love it! Don't know why anyone hasn't gotten it... It works wonderfully for me!

I got the seidio home dock. I don't need the car dock. I also have the innocase. Saved my phone multiple times!!

because its big and ugly lol. i dont want another inch added onto my phone. thatll make it bulky.

with all the things i have done to extend my battery i can get over 12 hrs with the stock, i get almost no signal at work due to the heavy amounts of concrete, brick and metal making up the building. today the first day running chevyno1 1.25 ULV i usually leave after being there for 10 hrs and the battery is at about 5%, today i left after 11 hrs and it was 20%.

when im somewhere with good signal, i can get around 14-16hrs on the stock. im hoping the extended will give me at least 24 hrs.

just got the D2 extended battery, using it with my seidio innocase (without the door) and seidio holster. everything is snugged inside. it's as-if nothing changed, perfect marriage. great performance thus far.
