DROID RAZR and RAZR MAXX Jelly Bean Update Rolling Out?

The link from My Droid Files was the wrong size to be the reported JB update. I went to the link from CrackFlasher - it is in the folder OTA and then XT921 - 4.1.2. This file is the right size and appears to be updating my phone to JB as I write. I'll let you know if I run into any problems.

Weird..that's the one I used and I didn't have any problems...what's the size file suppose to be..my was 300 something.

Size of file I applied post-download was 331mb. Size shouldn't vary because you would have extra files or missing stuff and the software may not as smoothly after installation.

No biggie from my end..I was just wondering why connexus was saying it was the wrong size...loving the responsiveness of this phone.

The size was supposed to be 331mb, and the one I got off the My Droid Files was just over 200. It is possible I just got a bad download, but I tried again from another source and it came up as 331 like it should. The upgrade went perfectly, though I think my gallery is cloned. If that is the only problem, it's party time. Everything else is working fine on my problem child phone, so this may finally end my recurring ICS nightmare.

Sounds like it was a bad download. Glad in the end it all worked out. I gotta agree JB is working great. If this was a mistake release, then wonder what the official one (updated) would be like :-D. Happy New Year!

I think Google+ instant upload is the reason our Galleries are being cloned. As soon as I entered my Google account info when I switched from my RAZR to my Nexus, it created two instant upload folders in the gallery. I think the same thing happened as soon as I upgraded the RAZR to JB.

My dad doesn't use instant upload or Google+, and none of his pictures were cloned on his RAZR Maxx.

I use neither, and I had a cloned gallery.

Be careful - on my phone there wasn't actually two sets of pictures. There was only one set of files. I had to move all files off the SD card, delete the "Camera" folder from gallery, then move the files back on.

I believe it's simply people having more than 1 app that is backig the gallery up. I think backup + does it automatically, but could be any app/accounts that you have that backup pics.

Yeah I gotta figure out which "Camera" folder to axe along with any other duplicated info, otherwise the O.S. is about 4x better than ICS. Battery life has been 36-48 hours on average, using wifi mostly, with LTE 30 hours on 90-120 min screen time. Nonetheless a major step-up over ICS. Question is will Razr series see Keylime pie or that's primarily for quad-core 2GB+ RAM and beyond?
