Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

I'm still deciding between the Maxx HD and the GS3 for camera quality. I'm probably going with the Maxx HD as I've been with moto since the OG Droid.

I like this phone a lot and unless the guy was bluffing about the benchmark scores it will have performance nearly on par with the note 2 which has double the specs

I was dissapointed with his camera remarks. I really want a good camera. I also love the ability to take a picture while recording. Didn't look like it did that.

I don't take important photos with my phone so that is a non issue for me. I need strong build quality, strong radios and a big battery and motorola meets all of those requirements but I just wish they'd thrown a quad core in there because I don't wanna buy this with a dual and then all apps start being optimized for quad and ill be stuck with dead technology for two years

Well at this point I've read/heard the maxx has a score of 6000 and the note 2 has around 6700 on quadrant standard. I think that is the top end of dual core but the low end of quad core so with the right roms it could hit 10000

another vid. Turn your volumes all the way up it sounds like the dude is hiding in the back trying to sneak off a quick review at work . I am sitting here waiting for his boss to walk in yelling "What is going on here, what you doing with that camera and why are you in the back hiding!"?

I do like taking HQ pictures. But have been content with the Razr Maxx I was using until now. You CAN take pictures during recording. The option only shows up during recording though as the ICS (leak) on my Bionic can do this. This is one thing however swaying me back and forth from the GS3 and the Razr HD Maxx.

I have no intent on rooting. All that stuff seems complicated and unnecessary to me.

If you have no intentions of ever rooting, you loved the dx and want a step up with nice battery life, clean os then this may be the phone for you.

Big disappointment after chatting with VZW a few minutes ago...Razr Maxx HD will not be available on the 18th...they will just be taking orders and have no irm date as to when the phones will be in customers hands! Sad marketing VZW!

Sadly I am not surprised. In fact i would not be surprised if they hold it for a christmas release.

I would try another store. I just called two stores in Az and was told by the first that they had no idea when it was coming and the second confirmed Thursday is the day. Who the heck knows?
