Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

How much better will the camera on the HD be than my current DROIDX? I ask because on friday I'll be going on a camping/off roading trip and can't decide on whether or not to buy the new phone for the trip or wait til I get back.

I'd wait until we've had a few reviews on this baby. Remember, for some reason, moto doesn't want us to be able to take good pictures. That's why, if the camera on this phone isn't very much improved, it's goodbye moto droid and hello galaxy s3,or note 2. It's to bad, because I've owned moto phones since 1993. Love the build quality. But when a company looses interest in the people keeping them operational, we'll, I'll spend my hard earned capital elsewhere. We've demanded two major things from moto that they've ignored. Timely updates, and a good camera.

the updates is Verizon's fault not moto. get that fact straight. as for the camera yes you're correct however if I wanted to take dlsr quality pictures I'd just use a dslr.

frankly it's being to far behind the cutting edge and letting Verizon dictate the locked boot loader that I'm tired of with moto.

+1 I love the DROID line but I can't spend hundreds of dollars on locked down devices that aren't the best. Especially when they cost more than the best

don't like the keyboard. On the nexus your nav buttons disappear when you use the keyboard and there is a down arrow if you need to bring it back.

Maybe it is just me but I think apple might have a problem with how this phone looks.

aluminum on the sides.. why oh why... and power button on the side.... I know they switched it with the razrs but we need some kind of separation from different manufacturers

Yeah but the aluminum on the side was motorola's idea first. Just because apple released their phone for sell first dont give them a patent for the design. The design for the razr hd was shown (leaked) as early as april.

I am not saying that they would win in court. I am saying i would not be surprised to see apple say that they copied their design and try to take them to court over it.
