Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

If you have no intentions of ever rooting, you loved the dx and want a step up with nice battery life, clean os then this may be the phone for you.

Well I used to love my DROIDX, but the past 6 months have been rough. Its slow, glitchy, bad camera, and had to buy a new battery.

Big disappointment after chatting with VZW a few minutes ago...Razr Maxx HD will not be available on the 18th...they will just be taking orders and have no irm date as to when the phones will be in customers hands! Sad marketing VZW!

I spoke with MANY Tech reps about this phone. They had blast emails stating "The Razr Maxx HD will launch on all channels on Oct 18th". I'm planning to go to the store and buy one. Swap the Just bought GS3 for the Maxx HD technically.

I participated in the soak test for the las tupdate that got pushed out for the X. Several glitches were evident gut VZW pushed out the update before all the soak test results were finalized. My has had problems ever since too. It was a great phone before that.

I was dissapointed with his camera remarks. I really want a good camera. I also love the ability to take a picture while recording. Didn't look like it did that.
I'm very disappointed in the camera of it as well. I don't understand what Moto was thinking there. I'm pretty sure they're the only OEM not using bsi camera's now. That's why they can't compete. I'm sure it's at least better than the camera in my Droid X and I have gotten a lot of great outdoor shots with that. Moto, wake up, use a camera with back-side illumination!!!!

You'll be able to take pictures while recording video. That's an ICS thing. I'm pretty sure every device that runs Ice Cream Sandwich can do that.

Agreed with everything. I love moto Phones, but I can't buy another one until they get on board with providing a good camera. I am sick and tired of using my wife's iPhone on vacation and at parties.

let's face it.. outside of battery life when getting the Maxx version or build quality (only if u keep ur phone naked) moto is behind the curve in everything else

if your hanging onto blur or any other skin of android your priorities are mixed up

I'm actually leaning towards the Razr Maxx HD at this point in spite of the non-camera and the lack of 2GB of RAM. I'm fairly sure that 2GB of RAM is not needed and, as others have said, Samsung included 2GB because of all the extra UI tools and "enhancements" they include. I love the moto design and build. I like to hike with my family and I want a device that's durable, has great battery life, and can take some water without me needing to sweat. I also love MicroHDMI. I don't understand why other companies are using MLH instead of MicroHDMI. MicroHDMI is great! I have 3 devices now that use it so I can use the same cable with any of them and plug right into my TV. I'm looking forward to something that's much faster than my Droid X and has incredible battery life! The Razr Maxx HD will not disappoint me I'm sure. I figure even if the camera is the same as the one on my Droid X (and I know it's not because it doesn't use a physical shutter) I'm sure it would be better just because the software is much newer. I'm hoping for a camera that is a little improved though. I'm actually interested in the HTC Droid Incredible X as well, espcially since I heard it will have a 2500mAH battery, but I have no idea how long I'll need to wait for that. I'd love to replace my Droid X this Thursday.

Oh yeah, and for all those who would rather replace their battery than have a large battery, it's personal preference but I completely disagree. If you're in the middle of a phone call with some tech support or just trying to do some research replacing a battery means starting all over. With the Razr Maxx HD you can expect much better battery life than the Razr Maxx had just because of the 28nm die size (vs 45nm) of the Snapdragon S4 and the integrated LTE. I can't wait to be blown away by the battery life on this thing!
