Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

Yep. I just left verizon and after playing with big boy phones like the s3 and og maxx that icrap5 is a joke. The sales rep was completely uninformed he had no idea that verizon would get the note 2

actually the iphone 5 is a good device. It is not for me but they really stepped up the build quality. We are just so use to seeing a customized home screen so when you see the iphone 5 it just seems like a lot is missing.

I mean it feels so small I wasn't criticising the build quality. Its too tall and narrow

Count me out...will never buy a Samsung until they fix the reception issues...I went back to my Razr after trying both the Nexus and the S3. MUCH better reception with the Razr than either of the Samsung ones...I am not just talking call quality either. I can surf the web in places with a Razr where the S3 and the Nexus could not even pick up a signal.

Maybe they will fix things with the Note 2 but I am not optimistic.

Count me in too!

I would agree ecxept for issues with the razr m, and post about the maxx hd. Plus from people I talked to the s3 has made vast improvements with reception over the nexus.

I agree that the S3 was better reception wise than the Nexus but I expected more from a top of the line product like the S3. I sold my S3 over a month ago and have been using my trusty old Razr since.

Reception with the quad core chipset has yet to be tested... but I'll be hoping for the best..

Personally I will not know how quad core will handle vzw's lte. I will be buying my note 2 through att (technically best buy).

1) at work att seems to be doing better data wise
2) tired of vzw lock down attitude. Heck even att loosened the stance on this.
3) I can buy a nexus next year off the play store foe $300 and pop a sim card in it.

Another issue with Samsung is TouchWiz. It makes way too many changes from the stock OS. A launcher like Apex or Nova is almost essential, at least in my book. I like how Motorola is making their overlay not as intrusive these days.

Awesome thing about this year is options. There literally is a phone for every one. What people choose will be based on what is most important to them.

For me touchwiz is not much of an issue because of aosp roms and/or apps like nova and apex launcher. But I can understand people wanting clean look and feel out of the box. It is looking like the battery life for the note 2 will be on par with the razr hd but I think the hd maxx will edge it . For me as long as the note 2 is able to get me through a day of use with out me scrambling for a charger then I will be satisfied. Having a clean nexus I notice many people root and look for roms with features. For me it is nice to have the ability to use awesome features out of the box. The note 2 has so many features that I will be able to play with a new feature every day for awhile.
As far as touchwiz I agree though supposedly the touchwiz on the note 2 is suppose to be closer to the stock look. With that said one of the first apps I will install will be nova or apex.
Lastly is I love the fact that I can do more with the note 2. Look what you can do with the s3.

Now imagine that with the bigger note 2 screen. For me tablets are too big I actually prefer the 7 inch tablets but who wants to run around all the time with a bunch of junk in their backpack. I have enough to deal with making sure I keep up with my wallet, phine and keys. I dont want to add to that a laptop and a tablet along with accessories and wires. This is another reason why the note 2 is a good fit for me.

This SGN2 support group, count me in as well. I'll go check out the Maxx HD as well but I won't buy it.

This all makes sense and another reason why the Note 2 will work for me as well. I'm a cnc operator at a machine shop so I'm constantly writing down notes and doing math or writing numbers down all the time. This will be the perfect setup.

Yeah man I run a vertical milling center which in short is a VMC or called CNC. We are actually like a speed shop as well. We make fuel injection systems for all kinds of things and tractor pulling chassis, we have our own dyno as well. Mostly work with billet aluminum, I want to make my own phone case lol.

I work at Engler Machine. Here's the link, check it out if u want.
