Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

I plan on getting a new device soon. My Bionic is rock solid in everything it does.
The other day my Father bought the GS3 and I got to use it without a security tether bolted to the back of it. It's a beautiful phone. But I think I'm gonna get the Motorola Razor Maxx HD, the biggest reason is the enormous battery life from the factory.

I have a 64GB sdxc sandisk memory card in my Bionic now with my entire CD collection and thousands of photos. I wanted to make a backup copy of the sd card in case I have to format it in the new phone. I plugged in the usb cable to the computer and phone, and opened up the sd card on the computer screen. I tried right clicking on it hoping it would give me the option to copy/move it to my computers hard drive, it did not give me that option. I clicked on properties and it showed the pie chart of the sd card. It said it is FAT32 format, which makes total sense because that's how I had to mount and format the card when I bought it.

Unable to do what I wanted to do, I discovered I might not need to do it. If the razor Maxx HD is compatible with fat32 format, it should just work. Am I correct????

I still would like to know how to back up my SD Card files onto a hard drive. Anyone have any experience with this and any suggestions???

You can either plug the phone into the computer with the USB cable, turn on file transfer mode, and simply drag and drop the files from the SD card to a folder on your computer.

Or, you can buy a card reader that plugs into the USB port on your computer.

2000 mah yeah they should have bumped it to at least 2500. I have a 1850 in my nexus and that dont last too long for heavy use especially in a fringe area. But htc has been known to be light on the battery life. Nothing has changed.

Yeah the phone looks sweet but more power hungry then my brothers 1X and it don't do that great, I can see this being worse. Other then that the phone looks to have a lot going for it.

htc is still the red headed step child of Android lol... s3 seems to do well with 2100 mah but for me personally I need 3000 plus and removable.... whether its an extended battery or multiple stock batteries

only one new phone comes to mind with those capabilities :)

The other issues is the non removable batter so yeah you now have to buy battery packs. And I bet vzw is going to love that :icon_ devil:.

Well yeah why would u hate a phone that doesn't have a removable battery when it lasts forever??? A little different on this HTC that won't last forever and still can't remove the battery so ur plugged to the wall all the time.

Well I got the GS3 today. I don't like it.

To sum it up...

The rear speaker makes the whole phone rattle/vibrate when playing music.
The rear speaker volume at MAX is WAY too low.
The TouchWiz takes up WITH NOTHING INSTALLED/STOCK 425 MBs of RAM. (for comparison my Bionic with 306 apps installed only takes up 625 MBs of RAM, Hmm).
The phone FEELS cheap.
Hate the physical home button.
Hate the unlock screen.
Camera quality while good still doesn't produce any better images I can do with my Bionic and after photo editing.
GS3 has NO onboard photo editing software.
(Obvious) Battery is too small in mAh.

So to sum it up. I'll be getting the Razr Maxx HD tomorrow when I return this GS3 for exchange.
I already called my "local" store and had one reserved! :)

To reiterate what INCREMENTAL said, the razr maxx is different in its an all day to a day and a half battery that is different from a 5-8 hour battery in the htc dlx. Having both the tbolt and rezound I can speak to how the screen just suckes the life out of the battery. You add sense and lte and well it might as well be permanently plugged into a wall.
