Droid Razr Maxx HD waiting lounge.

Well I went and played with one at the vzw store last night, and I am sold. I can barely tell its a pentile screen, which means every now and the I could see the dots, but nothing like my wife's og maxx. It was fast enough and smooth enough. Battery is number 1 to me, then screen, so with the 2500 battery the HTC dlx is coming with, I am going to the maxx.

Now to figure a way to keep unlimited.

That battery life is sweet
I was disappointed with the battery life on my first charge, but after fully discharging the battery and giving it another 100% charge before turning it on, it seems better. I'll do this a few more times to be sure.

Yesterday I got about 18 hours, but the last 3-4 hours I was running a HD YouTube video non-stop and also turned on a few more battery hungry apps. I still hope it improves, but for all practical purposes, it will do the job.

Now to figure a way to keep unlimited.

Check back a page or 2. Someone mentioned buying from a 3rd party website & was given the option to keep their current plan. Otherwise, the only "approved" way to keep unlimited would be to pay full retail price for the phone.

Wirefly has an option to click "keep your current plan", Verizon will not honor that.

I went to their site hoping that if they had a killer deal on them "on contract" the outright price might be killer. not the case Wirefly is $699 versus Verizon's $649.

So after making a trip into town today I thought well I'll stop in VZW and check it out.

My thoughts

I know its been said and I'll say it again for those interested. If u currently have a Razr, Maxx, or Bionic then upgrading to the HD is pointless if u ask me. Only major difference is the screen. I didn't feel the phone to be much faster then my Bionic and to much of it looks the same to even thank about dropping $700 on it. I didn't like how the left hand swipe brings up the quick settings

It did however have awesome build quality and the screen did look sharp. That's just my thoughts.

Just another quick battery update...using a lot but not a lot of gaming. Just surfing, phone, text, configuration.
Also a lot of whatsapp which is known for battery drain.

U should post on screen time as well when u check this as screen time tells really how long u have used it in that amount of time, just an idea.
