[APPS] Droid X/2 Overclock App - Easy & Noob friendly ;)

Are you sure your still rooted when I got the update for my droidx I lost root I got it back re installed overclock and it worked except for governor says none but it is set on ondemand

I believe I'm still rooted. I can turn on Wireless Tethering and I have the SuperUser app in with my other apps. Is there another way to check?

Brian

You probably still are if you got tethering mine was saying no go I just uninstalled it and reinstalled and it worked you do have it enabled in settings don't you I did that once too good luck Larry

Update:

I re-rooted with the Z4 app. Reinstalled Overclock App and now it works.

I've got some questions though. I tried the high voltage settings first and any of those made my phone run like frozen molases.

I clicked on the 1.35 ghz in the low voltage and now it's fast. Screen changes are much faster, browsing apps, and so on.

But why do the high voltage and medium voltage settings make my phone run so dang wrong? Is there a thread on how to get the most out of the app?

Thank You.

I'm new to overclocking as well, but from what I've read, there is no one setting you can use to get the most out of your phone.

This is because not all CPUs are created equal. During manufacturing chips of different quality come out in the batches they make. Some chips can handle high frequencies and/or voltage, while others cannot. Basically, not all processors are perfect; they meet basic standards but can't all perform at the same maximum level. It's really just luck which phone you get.

Try different settings for about an hour at a time and see if you have performance or temperature issues. If not, you're good to go with that particular setting.

If you go into settings in the overclock app then click disable module. Then go into settings and click it again. That started it up for me.

+1 Same problem, same solution

In Settings, toggle "Disable Module" off, then on. If that doesn't work, uninstall the app, reinstall. If module doesn't load with fresh install, toggle "Disable Module" in Settings

ok i haven tbeen in here for a few days but i tried what was suggested of turning off latest module and than back on. this worked so far. no reboot on overclock. thank you jrummy and everyone else

Using the new module worked like a champ. I'm back up and running with my speed of choice.. LV 1.25GHz. dancedroid

Thanks Jrummy

I just purchased your DX Overclock App in the market yesterday, and I know people are lifting it from Applanet but I'm here to tell them that its WELL worth the price at under $2... The extra features alone are worth the price, and it works great. I can tell you spent a lot of time designing the GUI and it looks and works awesome. Thanks!

Is any body else having trouble with over clock or is it just me I got new update this morning and now it doesnt work

Mine just FC and reboots everytime. Hope an update comes out. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times and have check and uncheck the mod or whatever box in settings several times along with reboots and no luck. I did SBF to .320 then SBF to .340.

In Settings, toggle "Disable Module" off, then on (done). If that doesn't work, uninstall the app, reinstall (Done). If module doesn't load with fresh install, toggle "Disable Module" in Settings (Done). Still doesn't work, only FC with no errors.
