[APPS] Droid X/2 Overclock App - Easy & Noob friendly ;)

After 2.3.340 DX Overclock doesn't seem to 'remember' set freq at boot setting anymore.

Everything runs normally - (1.4 low V) except every time I reboot, it reverts back to stock (1000/300) and I have to manually set it back.

I have ininstalled and reinstalled multiple times....

Anyone? Or, is this a 2.3.340 bug?

When you find them all, your mind will melt, as will your face and you'll look like those nazis at the end of raiders. Thanks for all the hard work jrummy

I had the same problem. I set up the on screen widget to see if it was saving my settings and profiles after I hit save and then hit set at boot then did a battery pull while the app was open (probly has no significance) and when I booted up it worked fine. also im envyous of the 1.4 :-( cant get to it though.

Same here as well. However a few reboots, My changes were kept on reboot. BUT when I change settings, I can not get them to stay on boot!

Does lowering the voltage reduce battery usage? I still dont get what changing the voltages pros and cons are...

Yep. Less voltage, less battery usage. Ideally you want your voltages to be as low as possible while still running a stable system. Many of the stock ROMs, e.g. RubiX, have custom voltages for the stock frequency settings which reduce battery usage to the max as for what if usually stable for that system.

Makes sense.. I'm running 1.25 Mhz, at a medium volt. I'll probably just drop it down to low.

Just one more question, when you set the profiles up, do you have to mark the x on Use profiles for them to work? Or is that the same as apply at boot? And i'm still trying to get the hang of priority for the profiles.. Screen on option should have priority 100 over screen off which is 95 right?

Ok, I am confused, am I suppose to run Set CPU program in addition to this? They both do the same thing? Also, I can't get my profiles to kick in, and my Widget that came with the program says at the very bottom of this, Pro:Man. I am thinking this means manual, and that would make sense for I have to reset my numbers every time my screen goes out. Is there an automatic setting?

Well, after all the reading's and executions I performed, I do believe I have the phone running the way I want it. I am going to keep my fingers crossed. I have to say that this APP. ranks number one, and to all you who are having a problem, I would just like to say is not to give up, and I am sorry you are having a problem, and so was I, but I read and tried every suggestion until I reached my goal. Here is an example of one of my problems that I was able to over come. In my profile I had set my, "Screen ON" to run at the MAX which is 1250 and 400 ULV, at 100%. Then I ran my next profile, " Charging AC/Full" at 95%. Well, this wasn't happening, because the dominate profile was Screen On at 100%, so I flipped them and it executed like a charm. Lastly, may I suggest that when you do a benchmark that your battery is fully charged, it will have an impact on your results. Good luck to everyone!

I recently reverted to stock to recover bloat I deleted in order to update. When I rooted again, dx overclock by jrummy was removed from the market. I paid for this app and I want it back. Anyone know how I can get it? I tried getting it from the root of my old eris since it is available in the market on that phone and it said this app must be installed from the market... please help!
