[APPS] Droid X/2 Overclock App - Easy & Noob friendly ;)

Big Fate, if you click on EXTRAS, then BUILD PROPERTIES, and finally arriving at your destination called LCD DENSITY. The default LCD DENSITY is 240. I read by lowering the number the better the resolution, so I lowered my LCD DENSITY down to 220. It was at this point I lost my Weather Animation on Beautiful Widget. I then googled the causes, and it said if you just recently tweaked your resolution you can lose your animation. I then set my LCD DENSITY back to the stock number and guess what? Animation. Try it and you will see.

Yea I see what you mean, no wonder why.. I never went and adjusted that option...

This is very interesting, I have my profiles set at see post 322, and the program is not responding to those values, so I set everything one of those values at 100%, and is now working to the profiles I have set. I thought if anyone else is having a problem with what I had, this appears to be a solution.

Anyone on a D2 have stable settings at 1.3+?

The 1.2 preset runs fine for me, but still looking for just a little bit of a performance boost...

I have not had any issues with the profiles other than sometimes I don't see the widget update to display the correct MHz depending on which profile is currently active. If I toggle the screen to sleep and back on it then displays the correct MHz. This may just be the way the widget is setup to poll the CPU and maybe I am not waiting long enough in between polls? As far as the profiles go I have pretty much everything set to 90% except the battery profile I have set to 100% priority so that if it reaches 40% it kicks the phone down to 850/400. Also on a side note I thought the widget displayed battery information? Am I missing a setting or something to display it?

My widget for DROID OVERCLOCK just shows:

Max:
Gov.
Min:
Pro:
Temp
C/F

I still cant figure out how to get the boot to work properly.

Set mine to 1.25/1000 MHz and set to boot, once I reboot it shows as 850 Mhz. My profiles seem to work fine, but kinda slows the phone down in my opinion. Anyone know what the boot issue could be? Its like my phone has amnesia lol

so noone answered my question. wat is the max volts a phone should see,

just like a cpu in a computer they have a thresh hold and cut off point

No matter what setting I try my x won't stay stable did I just get an unlucky x that can't be overclocked? Also I get random reboots even when running stock settings please help if available thanks

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums App

Back to stock os? And rooted or unrooted and if it doesnt reboot what does that mean? And the random reboots are only once in a great while now that im running rumm rx

If I have Set CPU, would using this be the same? Or should I use both or is one better than the other? If so, why? Thanks for all help.

Set CPU doesn't overclock, it can be used to set up different conditions to save battery, etc. This application actually overclocks the phone and allows faster processing. It should be used with caution and never initially set the overclocking to start on boot unless you are absolutely sure it works OK. I use both but that may be because I already had Set CPU when I bought this app.

3rd time is a charm i guess when asking something

wat is the max volts a phone should see or can handle

just like a cpu in a computer they have a thresh hold and cut off point

and i would like to know what that is

also have no luck, with the phone not restarting so far just be sitting on my desk and bam restart. was on low volts for the 1.25, 1ghz 850 400 one i think

The max volts varies according to your phone if it reboots at random then you have to lower voltage on at least ultra low on boot

I recently got this app and have my X set to 1.2 ULV right now. Everything is running smooth and no FC's as of now. ;o)
Question... I also have SetCPU... will it interfer with this app if I run my profiles through SetCPU and NOT this app? I like to have a widget and I prefer the SetCPU minimal widget.
Clarification, I am running the overclock on this app and running my profiles on SetCPU with the profiles on the Overclock app turned off.
Thanks everyone!
