DROIDX and DROID2 Finally Receive MIUI Ports!!

I was shocked when I ran Miui and spent the next few hours getting to know all l of its features and customizing it and streaming music. Next thing i knew I was on it with constant use for at least 7 hires and it barely looked like the battery moved at all.

Yes, i have the extended battery from Verizon for like $25. But I still did not get this type of battery life on other roms. I am sure it varies for each person since some are saying their battery sucked on miui but for me it is the best. Plus I ran the script for the v6 turbo charge which increased the speed of my phone too so.

Question. The v6 script, isvthat as simple as a cwm flash? Or is there more to it?

I read somewhere that MIUI is really easy to theme. Liquid and the Theme chooser are pretty slick, but I am not always a fan of all the elements in a theme. Can you really customize the notification icons and the lockscreen with ease in MIUI? It just seems a bit scary to tweak individual items with metamorph or flashes in Liquid.

with miui its extremely easy to mix and match themes... when you download a theme you can choose which elements from it you want to apply, such as these options: lockscreen style, wallpaper, status bar, fonts, text style, icons, launcher, etc.

so if you want the launcher from one theme, icons from another, status bar from another, you just download all three and apply the specific things you want from each.

OK, first off, love this ROM! BUT I know I'm probably overlooking it somewhere...but when I connect my phone to a PC to drop files on my SD card it doesn't give me the USB options such as "charge only" or "mass storage"....where the hell do I find that? I'm forever adding and deleting music on my phone and I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to access the SD card through my PC....

When I plug my phone onto my computer through the USB, I just give out a few seconds and it automatically detects it and asks if I want to open the files or autoplay something like the media on the card. There is no need to select anything prior to. Just plug in and wait.

I just unplugged it and did it again....waited and nothing came up like you described...and yes, I'm using the original usb cord from the factory, not an aftermarket one...in case that was the next question.

Also, has anyone installed an update yet....cause I notice the option to wipe the Dalvik Cache is automatically selected before installing....is that necessary or can I/should I deselect that?

I can't help you with the USB thing. Not sure why it does not come up for you. I just plug and pay the old fashioned way.

As for updates, I flashed the update to version .29 this weekend. From what I understand at the very least you should wipe dalvik. Of course, I found that there is a lot of community support over on droid x forums for MIUI users. I would recommend anyone go check them out for any bugs or issues.

Same issue with usb and sd. Haven't figured it out. Tried completely starting over with stock but no luck.
