DROIDX2 Gingerbread Update Appears to Be Ready, Newest Version of Blur Included

Well this sucks. The way it was announced they made it seem like we'd be getting the d3/bionic blur and lockscreen. This update pretty much makes it the same as the Atrix's update .

That download doesn't to work for me. It seems to start but then it gets an error stating an app I used to have is the problem (Magic Smoke Live Wallpaper)... Which I haven't had since my Droid X). I'm on a Droid X2 now and a reformatted SD Card. Any thoughts?

i cannot seem to pull this update OTA...is everyone getting it? Or is it going out in phases? Im in Los Angeles and no update...annoying

I'm in LA too and no update yet. Maybe they are doing the east coast first. Saving the best ( west coast ) for last.

Incorrect...I have already seen multiple replies on multiple threads and sites stating they were from LA and received the update. Unless they are lieing. I still suspect it depends on when u purchased the x2

Look at what the system version says on the file its the same thing u already have on your phone.

People have already said that is because Motorola names the updates based on the current version not what you are updating to, this install has been downloaded and run by many people on several forums, it IS the gingerbread update

I got mine in May from BestBuy before it was available at the Verizon stores.If it was based on who bought it first then I'm pretty sure I would have received the update last night .
