DROIDX2 Gingerbread Update Appears to Be Ready, Newest Version of Blur Included

It's a pretty good upgrade for those coming from unrooted OS, but during my lunch break i was listening to music and it was skipping and it shut down by itself..which I never got since I rooted my phone. I don't know if it's a one time thing but the skipping music really sucks..

If you're rooted, I would just stay rooted, but that's my opinion.

NOOOOO...don't tell me that...I was hoping this gingerbread would stop my music skipping problems

Do I HAVE to use a computer? My computer is not running right now..can I download to my phone and transfer to sd that way?
Dude just wait for the OTA in that case. It's not like your missing out on much.... other than disappointment.

I could go down the street to my sis house and use her laptop tho...hmm..if I don't get the OTA tonite that's what im probably gonna do..just tired of the waiting lol

If you're not rooted, then it wouldn't hurt since this is much faster than froyo but when I was rooted I didn't get music skips, maybe once or twice when i'm installing something.

I get music skips usually when im listening and say I open the browser or manage apps list..I think it might have to do wit my sd card. I originally had DROID pro but it had a line down the screen so I took it back and got this x2 instead. When the rep (not corporate store.they should have to have a bigger sign telling me that cuz I just would have gone to corporate if I knew) removed the sd card from pro without using the unmount option from menu. I asked him and he said u don't have to but im wondering if he screwed it up.

Coming from stock, 2.3.3 is pretty significant in terms of functionality. I hated my X2 prior to the update and now I love it. You can wait for the OTA if you want but I pushed this update through (which is legit btw) and I couldn't be happier with my phone
