Even More Froyo

i want to know too

A couple of people have already asked this, but I have yet to see a definitive answer so I'll put my voice in here, too.

If I'm already running a stable version of FroYo from an older leak, what are the advantages of installing this one? I have zero problems with my current build, but I certainly wouldn't want to be either missing out on some functionality or setting myself up for future issues.

Installed over Bugless Beast 0.3 with no wipe, runs BEAUTIFULLY. Using P3's 1250 standard voltage kernel.

1742 on Quadrant!

Thanks you so much P3Droid! We all really appreciate it!

Ok i guess ill bite im gonna install this over my BB.V3 Droid X theme and see what it does
backing up first of course but here goes !!

I'm game as well. Doing it now! BRB....

giving it a whirl too. I will post any probs.

google maps still will not install on this rom??

Felt a bit laggy to me.

Maps was version 4.2 and not 4.3 per BBv3.

I went back to BBv3....much snappier, at least for me.

Other than that, no real problems or changes. Just felt slower.

I did not wipe. Maybe I should have?

I am having problems in Sprecovery, getting message E:can't open /sdcard/update.zip (bad) Installation aborted

Please help

Yeah..I just got this same error and I was PI$$ED! Stupid update zip BS! LOL

So when I dropped the update file into my dropbox and then opened it on mY Droid it was pretty fast. I looked at the files size and it was about 7 mb. I knew that wasn't right. I then went to DroidWorld and downloaded directly from their link. The file is 77mb. It is still downloading from my dropbox but I am absolutely sure this was the problem. It's a bad file. Make sure you downloaded and copied and renamed a good file and it remained good through all those changes. Stuff hapens.

those installing this:
If you having problems wipe data and cache twice before installing update.zip, and once after.

Yes there are those who can install with out having aproblem if they do not wipe.

But if you wipe everything then you should not get a bootloop..
As far as kernels: you should be fine using the exact same kernel you used before installing this (if you was on froyo).

Adobe Flash: it should be on your sdcard if you had it installed before. Use astro to find it (should be in your download folder under com.adobe flash) and reinstall it.

This has been stable and very easy to install.

What happened to my "edit" button?

Anyhow...the update is installing now so it was in fact a bad file...just like SPRecovery said.

I got a boot loop when I didn't wipe the data or cache. Rebooted into recovery and wiped data and cache then reinstalled the file. Worked fine after that.

Thanks for the suggestion but:

I do get a bit confused when wiping.

In Nandroid there are 2 options:

wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition

Do I do both twice?
