Features, and Bug-Fixes, and Themes, OH MY! Sapphire - 0.8.4

I'm having issues with sapphire as when ever im using Mobile Banking like Bank of America it does not save my phone to the settings, I have to input my information every time like my ID, I didn't have this issue before with other roms. Is there a setting i need to change within sapphire or something?

I dunno... works fine for me saving ID for login.

so nobody has ever had the camera app get laggy after taking a picture and then force close? anyone care to test a few times?

my steps for recreating the crash:
open camera app with shutter button
take picture (take note of how fast the pic stays on the screen before it goes to the small window)
press the top settings button, and see if it scrolls smoothly
tap the screen to get rid of the settings
take another picture.

the weird thing is, i cannot recall this happning on 2.1 or frf57, but it has happeend on frf84, ss44, and sapphire 084. i tried frg01 briefly yesterday, and it did not happen, but i really didn't give it a full run.

the reason i know it's a bug in something is that i was able to reproduce it on my friends phone, who has the same setup as me. we also have similar apps installed.

I followed your steps, and cannot reproduce your problem. Camera app seems to work fine for me... :icon_eek:
Sapphire 0.8.4.

thanks for trying man. if you do ever come across, please post here!

What I forgot to mention earlier is that Google Goggles force closes on me every time, i tried clearing data and it still does the same. I can't download through market because it fails installation, I even tried to remove it from system and still cant download through market. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I tried Google goggles on Sapphire and like others got force close. I can download and install it fine. When I run it I get FC right away. Don't know any way to fix goggles right now. cvpcs is probably aware of the issue: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/cv...g-fixes-themes-oh-my-sapphire-0-8-4-a-27.html

Reading through market feedback for goggles though may indicate problems with other versions of Android as well.

Last time I tried goggles was stock eclair and it worked no FC. Although I found the program lacking IMO.

i read the comments and noticed the same thing. people said goggles wasn't working on BB, SS, CM, etc. so i just let it go. not like the program was really that useful anyways. i just hate when something doesn't work.

However goggles works flawlessly on Kangerade and Chevy's Simply Stunning 4.5, and I was getting continuous FCs on app startup with Sapphire. At least, on my device.

Can't wait until goggles runs flawlessly on Sapphire... just saying... lol

I really like sapphire a lot. However, these things made me load something else:

- CPU speed doesn't set correctly in setcpu, especially the Set On Boot settings.

- The opaque window that keeps popping up to notify you that an app has been given superuser permissions is annoying, but to make matters worse, it doesn't go away.

- get a lot of FCs with my favorite launcher Launcher Pro.

So far enjoying Sapphire. I have only had one hiccup. I tried running the p31250 kernal and had a couple reboots. I wiped cache prior to installation. I recrecovered the previous backup to stock kernkernel back to running fine. The only other hhiccup is using swiftkey. It doesn't like it. Force closes and at times just slow to respond.

Reinstall the SU app from previous version. The current SU app version is what is causing the problem. I'm not sure if I can post a link to the prior version, but if given the OK by the mods, I will.
