Features, and Bug-Fixes, and Themes, OH MY! Sapphire - 0.8.4

I have corporate calender and I'm running sapphire. I do run better widgets and tap on the calender part, menu, more, calenders, click on the ones you want your calender to sync with.
Of coarse you need to go into settings first and set up your corporate calender to sync.

Did you install CC after flashing or was it there on it's own?

all I did was install the google apps, after installing sapphire, then market fix. Then went in to settings, sync and added corporate calender info, then added my facebook info and it was all there. I just tap on my calender in B. Widgets and they are all there, but I do go into settings and shut off google calender since I do not use it.
I get my mail and everything.

any chance we being some sapphire love for the new leak FRG01B dancedroid
Wait...what? When did that happen? Also, this rom is based from source, so when they make a new rom, its more up to date than the newest leak.

It will get the proprietary files from it, but this wasn't really that big of an update despite the letter change.

It happened today justin.

Anyone else having FC's in the Market app? Same thing before and after applying the fix. Basically, I choose an app, hit install, it starts and even finishes installing at which point Market immediately force closes...

I'm looking or an answer to this too.

Came from a full wipe of system/boot/data/cache. Installed .8.4, gapps, and blue glass/no font theme.

I've wiped market data and cache and tried fix permissions.

I haven't applied the market fix, because from what I've read, it's only to get paid apps that don't show up.

I'm going to dig some more, maybe I missed the post somewhere.

i have never had market FC. i installed sapphire, then gapps, then market fix. i think you are still missing apps, even if you haven't paid for them, like the skype app for example.

and i'm pretty sure corp cal was taken out, even in the official froyo. it's integrated into regular calendar i believe...

I had the same problem, but I believe I've fixed it, and haven't had the problem since. Basically, all I did was rewiped my data and reinstalled the gapps. I read somewhere that if you opened the market app while your apps were being synced/redownloaded, you would get the FC problem. When I rewiped my data, I made sure not to open the market till everything was complete, and its been perfect since.

Hope that helps

So no more on the corp cal question? Should it be there or should I install it manually (will that cause a problem?)

Some quick googling reveals that all the calendars may be integrated on Froyo (which makes the presence of CorpCal.apk in Sapphire a bit puzzling).

If /system/app/CorpCal.apk does not exist on your phone, you can re-download sapphire-0.8.4-update.zip and grab it from there.

Or you can do as I have and completely remove every calender on the phone. They open for no reason and I just don't like that. So I deleted :D

As has been mentioned above, CorpCal.apk will exist but there will be NO actual program showing up in the app drawer named Corporate Calendar. CorpCal.apk is called from the standard Calendar application. You choose from within Calendar itself what Calendars you want to see.

I'm going to give it another go, this time downloading the .zips from the webpage rather than through Rommanager. The market FC is the only problem I am having with this ROM (besides the default ringtone, but that's personal pref).

It's a beautiful ROM otherwise (and I love adamz smoked glass)

The one thing i love about this ROM is aside from stability is the freaking reboot option. reboot into recovery is awesome. I know pwr + x but reboot into recovery beats that anytime. :D
