FoxKat's Razr/Maxx Jelly Bean Leak Classroom W/MattyP & Friends

Just tried it with an event on my calendar and it shows up too. Not all cards do though. Not sure what the criteria is for them to show on the widget.

It shows quite a bit on mine, I can't remember what all I set up on my tablet though. I just refreshed on my tablet (using FoxFi on my phone), and it pulled cards for: Houston Rockets score last night, Traffic time to Home, Current weather at my current location & forecast, and my company stock price.

Wish they would offer Google Now as an app for ICS devices because I don't want to lose FoxFi. But I understand the reasoning for not offering.

I'm running .215 and rooted.. Do i need roll back to .211 or do i go to class 3 and update to jelly bean and do Extra Credit to obtain root?? I just want to make sure cause I'm bout to update 3 phones. I really appreciate all tha help

Didn't see this question answered...

I am aware that MANY have been successful in using the 64GB cards even though the phone's instructions don't state that they support them. I haven't tried one but I'll probably pick up one in the near future now that their prices are within reason. I suggest a class 10 or UHS-1 card.

Fox...did you copy the wrong post to answer? I believe the post was asking if they need to roll back from .215 to .211 before going to the JB update.

Fox asked that I post some information from last week.

https://plus.google.com/+Motorola/p...con&utm_medium=chrome_app&utm_campaign=chrome

I had exchanged Q&A with Motorola Mobility on Google+ concerning the JB update for the OG Razr/Razr Maxx. This particular person confirmed that the update would roll out sometime by end of Q1 2013. I also asked if a user had received the "leaked" JB update from Christmas, would they receive another update when the OTA comes out. You can read their answers in the link I posted.

My interpretation of their answers is this: If you are still on ICS .211 then you should receive the JB update sometime by end of Q1 2013. If you received the leaked JB update from Christmas; you would still be on the upgrade path. Meaning, if they made changes to the JB update (different from the x-mas version), you would receive another JB update with the latest changes.

I had planned on waiting for the JB update, but after this exchange I will probably go with the manual update for now.

Thanks, Red!
Based upon your last MOTO JB post, I guess .215 users have a few options:
1: revert to .211 and wait for JB OTA
2: revert to .211, ad install Foxkat JB update
3: continue to wonder if and Moto honors what they say:biggrin:

Keep me posted, pls.

Thanks glad to help. I didn't really ask them about the .215 file. I myself am on the .215 and believe that I will need to roll back to .211 to get the JB update. I am tempted to wait for the OTA to roll out just to see if I get the OTA but highly doubt that I will.

We tried that with the Christmas release. No go. So, I'd bet you are right that it won't work.

Very true, I remember checking for an update during the Christmas leak with no luck.

Well we technically can't say it won't work since the Christmas leak was accidental and trickled to some people..remember updates don't all roll out in one day..I am not saying JB will only look for .211...but the leaked version did.

I don't think it matters at the download just when you try to install. Even if you get it from someone who captures it I don't think it would install.

Yep, I would love to be able to install the JB leak manually on top of .215 ICS leak.

Totally in agreement with you regarding the leak version of JB..but we don't know about the official version and how it would respond or not respond to .215 if/when it gets pushed..that was my only comment. The leaked version maybe a sign that one must be on .211..but once the official version gets pushed out, it is then one would know for sure...

It's heads or tails, and we won't/can't know until the official JB OTA drops:)
I must have backed up my data 6x already, to install the leak. Ugh! I am still on the fence.
After reading a lot of stuff it comes down to whether OTA will be pushed to Xmas leak phones. Can u let me know if any official recipients were updated to 2.14 , yet received JB push? Why? Read on...

I forgot all about the following article. Wonder if anyone got it or was it pulled, leaked, etc. If so, wonder what their status wll be w official JB OTA? Hmm...interesting! Read this:

It looks like a leak has just surface that might just be the final build of Ice Cream Sandwich for the RAZR and RAZR MAXX. The build number is listed as 6.14.84 and is roughly 343MB in size. This lines up with the software update internal leak that floated around the other day. That document put the test update to be floating around between April 19th to May 17th. So this leak fits the bill. Assuming all things go as planned and there aren’t any major issues, we could be looking at the final build that could start going out by the end of May.
If you are brave enough to give it a go and see how it works out, feel free to pop over to droidrazr.com for the file and install instructions. Be sure to read everything before you start pushing buttons and downloading files. There are requirements to try it out and if you break your phone because you don’t read everything, well, that’s your fault.

Helron, according to what I was told. If you are on ICS or the leaked JB version...all Razr/Razr Maxx phones will be on the latest version of JB once the OTA is released. What does this mean? IMO, if there are no changes between the X-mas leak & official OTA...then the users with the leaked version should not receive a new update. If there are changes, then the users with the leaked version should receive the latest update.

But as others as have said, this is all speculation until the official OTA is released.

HI Redsnk95
I agree and in 5 weeks we will know a lot more. Moto soakers will likely be notified mid March, and a few soakers may have already upgraded to .215 or JB leak. Who knows? In any event, the next few weeks won't be boring.LOL
