Froyo Release Thread

Kind of off topic, but...

I restored to a nandroid backup that I made from before I installed Froyo (DroidMod 1.0) because I needed access to my Battle.net Mobile Authenticator app, but when it loaded, all of my apps were gone and it was basically a back to stock DroidMod1.0.

I did this once last night, and it restored with all of my apps intact. Did I just do something wrong? I wiped data via SPRecovery both last night and today, so I'm not sure why all of my apps were missing today...any thoughts?

I installed a new version of busybox from Titanium Backup, shouldn't that work?

Metamorph looks for Busybox in a different location then where Titanium Backup puts it. You will need to move it to the right spot.

Try System/xbin or System/bin.

what is everyone using to monitor the temp of their cpu? for some reason temp monitor will not work with p3droids kernel. it says something about the tazmanian devil kernel not installed? i have used this app for a while now and flashed a lot of different kernels and all of them worked untill this one. please someone help i am very picky about monitoring my phones cpu temp as i am sure many of you can understand why

Try System/xbin or System/bin.

Well, SU is in System/xbin so it should find it.

This kernel is still sketchy. I'm sure every dev out there is working on this, but I know that jake is supposed to be releasing something later today that will fix this. As of now, we don't have access to cpu temp. It's coming, though.

My guess is that you either didnt restore your data or u didnt back it up at all when u did a nandroid backup.

Since updating I can't play a .wav attachment with the default player. Any ideas how I can get the player to work or use another player?

Try and restore it again and make sure all check boxes are checked, if it still does not work, well ... 'oops'

Froyo is awesome!

I just wanted to thank the people at mydroidworld and droidforums for always keeping me up to date. I installed the wifi fix 1.1ghz kernel from p3droid and my droid is now just flat out awesome!!

I am using the purchased temp monitor and it has not given me any issues
