same here p3 1gig kernel is perfect for my phone, everything works and great battery. My temps are a tad higher then when i used bekits but its not getting dangerously hot.

well there is one problem. when i use wifi it wont let my bluetooth kick on.

whenever i use it i have to turn it off, then reboot to get bluetooth to work.

not a huge problem though cause i dont use wifi that much

I seriously wonder what the people who have been raving about great battery life have been doing to test the battery. I suspect they haven't really been putting it through any real tests.

If anyone has said ANYTHING positive about battery life on this leaked version of 2.2 combined with P3's kernel, they are full of it.

I'm sure the final release of 2.2, along with optimized kernels, will render much better battery life. As of now, it couldn't get any worse.

Ive been running it @700mhz since yesterday morning nothing wrong with my battery life.

Try it with the 1.2 ghz kernel and you'll see what I'm talking about. I run 2.1 at 1.25 ghz and get a full day out of my battery. With 2.2 at 1.2ghz, I got less than half a day.

Different ROM different experience. Not unusual for this to happen. Lower the clock speed and you will notice a difference.

Well I guess I'm 'full of it' then.
I HAVE been using VERY heavily. LOTS of browsing. Listening to music. Well over 100 texts and almost 90 mins. of talking.
I'm running the 1.2 kernel. Been off the charger since ~9am..and still have 60% left on battery.
Sure, it's using a bit more power, but nothing EXTREME!
Certainly not enough for me to immediately switch back to anything 2.1 based.
Maybe your current setup is causing the drain.
I use no widgets or anything like that so I'm not pulling any major data checks.
There's a whole bunch of factors to figure. Just because you are not getting good battery life, doesn't mean others are "full of it" ;)

Oh calm down ya drama queen. I didn't literally mean that anyone is full of ****.

Back on topic.

There is no drama.
Just stating the fact that not everyone will experience the same thing.
Depending one what apps you're using, how many widgets, etc. will all effect battery life.
I'm sorry to hear it's not giving you great battery life ATM.
Maybe the final release will.
Only time will tell :)

need some help. what else do i need to do to go from stock 2.1 to in stall the froyo rom? i did the sprecovery install and the nandroid backup. installed a rom from mydroidworld, put it in the right folder, did the reboot after all of that. all it did was stuck in a loop on a screen that only said "android". what did i do wrong?

So far I'm liking it very much. I downloaded the 250-1000 kernel but it's only letting me go to 800mgz, which isn't much of a problem. I've been at work all day (retail, been very busy) checked email every hour, weather conditions, called a few people, etc etc and i'm still at 60% after i took it off the hook at 1000. It's now 2232.

Although it's not completely stable (menu blanks out, and can freeze from time to time) i can't wait for the official release and get some new ROMs cookin.

love love the fact that music is accessable thru the car nav...sweetness

Hey, I didn't even notice the car mode. I like! Much better! I wonder what else I haven't noticed... time to poke around.

Off topic, or rather, new-along-the-same-topic, when it comes to the kernels, do you guys think it's better to select a higher one and clock it lower or a lower one and max it out? For instance, if I want to max at 900, is it better to use the 900 kernel or maybe use a 1GHz and set it at 900 max? Or is it pretty much the same difference either way?
