Music player repeats on Froyo

My music player seems to only want to shuffle between the same 8 to 10 songs. Anyone having this issue? Also, when I go to try to change play list, it force closes everytime. This is the only issue I have had at all. Using Blackdroidmod version. LOVE FROYO!

Hey Guys.

I am a dumb Droid owner (as opposed to all of you programmer types). I have a rooted droid that I did to get Barnacle. All else is stock as I have no idea how to do any of this stuff.

Could someone walk me through the process like I'm a child? Or point me to those instructions?

Thanks much.

Froyo and internal memory

Has anyone else noticed that Froyo takes up about 60 more MB of internal memory?

Is this normal?

(sorry if this has been covered, its time consuming trying to go though 100's of pages of threads)

Threads merged

Guys if you have a question just go ahead and post it. There is no need to make a new thread for every question. Thanks in advance. :)

All I have to say is WOW...great work ALL AROUND! There is no better community than the Droid Community! I was hitting over 1500 with Quadrant...here is a screen grab from a bench I just ran:

Does anybody know how we save the apps to the SD card?

Once the app is install and if it is updated for use on the sdcard go to settigns>applications>manage applications and click the app you want to move. there should be an button to press that says "move to sdcard" if it is grayed out then the app has not been update and can not be moved.

I believe it is up to the app dev's to update this option to the applications, I know after updating setcpu the "move to SD card" button in settings/manage applications/ is now useable before the update it wasn't

To: BBcrackman, P3, Olta and the MDW staff, thanks just do not do this justice. Gentlemen, you are AWESOME!

You really know your s**t, and have made it that much more special to own a Droid than it already was!

Thank you all, and keep up the great work.

I have posted my observations about Froyo 2.2 in regards to overclocking and the simple Linpack benchmark.

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-faqs/47871-overclocking-101-a-3.html#post529991

Anyone claiming that Bugless Beast is as fast as Froyo 2.2 Beta simply doesn't know how to run tests properly or has it installed incorrectly.

Or is just a fanboy haha...I agree with you, this thing flies. I'm sure Pete will come out with a great custom ROM but BB 1.1 has NOTHING on the Froyo 2.2. Beta. Plain and simple!

anyone get metamorph to work with this? I first had the busybox problem but fixed that, now it says make sure i have enough space in /system which i do...any definitive fix for this or do we just wait...?

I've installed Froyo three times using a full wipe of my phone. Each time, it worked great for about 30-60 minutes, then started reboot cycling constantly, and I had to SPRecover to get it to stop. Anyone else experience this or have suggestions?

I've had similar results...seems like it's going to be OK (this is after all apps have reinstalled and accounts setup/sync'd)....it looks like it's going to be OK, an then the extreme slow-downs/lock-ups begin.

2.2 ROMs I've tried:

- The initial release from My Droid World
- Birdman's release (Alldroid)
- Fabulous' release (Android Forums)
- Multiple kernels
- Running and not running SetCPU

All w/the same results.

I've wiped everything before installing, let the phone sit after install until all apps are restored and accounts sync'd, rebooted, pulled the battery, etc. I even updated to the new baseband in case that might help, but still no go.

I've been loading ROMS for months, know the steps and gotchas, but 2.2 has completely stymied me. My phone just will not run it, no matter what I've done/tried. I'm actually beginning to wonder if I'll be able to run the official release when it comes out, if there's something fundamentally off w/my Droid that will make it incompatible w/2.2 (maybe the JIT component - earlier JIT releases always gave my phone fits).

If anyone has any good troubleshooting suggestions for us 2.2-phobes, happy to hear 'em.

Could I get your help setting this up then? Man that's just torching fast and I'd love to be able to get that kind of speed/performance out of my phone.
