I fixed tha Maps manual update problem. Simply went into /system/app and deleted the Maps.apk
Checked in /data/app to see if anything was in there regarding Maps and found nothing.
Back into the market to install Maps installed successfully.
This worked for me. YMMV
everything was working perfectly for me and after i did the about:debug and UAstring thing, the browser was working perfectly as I was able to get desktop views of the websites. However, after i went back to the homescreen, my launcher went completely nuts and was loop FCing about every 30 seconds. Nothing would show up on the homescreen, just a blank wallpaper and it would keep FCing the launcher. I even restarted the phone and it continued doing this. Anybody else have this problem?
for everyone who wants to watch hulu and other desktop flash sites follow these instructionsdancedroid
(so happy with froyo had to catch ppls attention)
the method, as illustrated by absolutely android, merely requires you to type "about:debug" into the url bar, select uastring (which allows you to change the user agent, or the identifying network protocol of your browser) and select "desktop."
first off i want to thank and applaude everyone involved. this is going to be awesome once i figure out what im doing wrong. ive loaded it through sprecovery. i perform the backup and i get the motorola icon screen, then the droid screen, then the flashing 'red eye', then it goes back to the droid and loops through that and the red eye over and over? any suggestions?
P3Droid... MDW... I must say I was a lil shook when my phone was running slower than BB V1.1, but I followed the guidance of my peers on the forum and hiked up SetCPU to 800 and I'm impressed. I appreciate all that you guys have done to get this up and running when you did. THANKS!

I'm reflashing back to CyanogenMod now, but this thing was sick, at 800 MHz I was pulling high 12s in linpack and it was snappier than my 2.1 running at 1.2 GHz...now I am salivating at the prospect of a CyanogenMod based on froyo, I may never give up my droid!
i'm getting an error when i try to flash the clockworkmod recovery. given that i don't have my sd card partitioned, so i kinda know why it's giving me this: "No apps2sd partition found. Skipping format of /sd-ext. E: Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
I must be missing something looks like superuser is not installed/activated /
Did a full wipe (2x) and cache wipe/ used spr recovery / all went well all apps restotred automatically (nice...) getting 818 on quadrant/ cannot activate setcpu or run terminal as su... help...
edit> also could not install flash / tried:
1. renaming zip to apk (n/g)
2. unzipping .zip file to folder / copied to /sdcard/downloads
ng (no apk) // wazzup?
OK SU is back / found in one of the posts... (nice)
extracting creates a folder called Adobe Flash Player 10.1_10.1.61.68
copying this folder to my sd card will not allow me to do anything.
suggestions?
