Froyo Release Thread

Not open for further replies.
i've read the entire thread and i'm the only 1 with the following problem

i'm running Pete's Bugless Beast v1.1 with SP recovery .99.3b. downloaded the SP recovery nandroid, unzipped with Winrar and took everything inside and replaced what was inside in the very last folder of sd/nandroid. wiped data and cache 2-3x each and followed the steps for advanced nandroid backup. after all this, i end up in an endless bootloop @ the Moto symbol

re-downloaded the froyo file again, repeated the process but took the whole froyo folder into nandroid, repeated the wipe and restore and still ended with the same results. i have no choice but to revert to BB v1.1 until some1 can guide me to the right direction cuz idk what else to do

The install should be like this- After you extract the zip file:

Froyo Folder/ Froyo Folder/3 files inside

Put Froyo Folder/3 files inside in the nandroid folder. If you have Froyo Folder/Froyo Folder/3 files inside, it wont work.

The folder that says froyo-BS-20100605-0547 is what goes in the nandroid folder, not the one that says P3DF-SPR.

tried again but still wound up in a bootloop @ the Moto symbol but thanks anyways

Thanks for releasing this!!!!!

Has anyone tried Chrome to Phone?

i havent been able to get it working but i really want it, has anybody had success?

Still "registering device..." here.

SICK!
Amen to that bro!

So what's the deal with apps2sd? When doing the nandroid backup, it complained that I didn't have an apps2sd partition set up on my sd card. Do I need to do this to get apps2sd working?

Is anyone's camera/camcorder working in this copy of 2.2? Mine is all psychedelic, when it works at all. (I know it's not hardware because it works when I restore a 2.1 ROM.) If yours is working, did you have to do something to make it work?

Ok, my camera is still not working (I had hoped the new kernel might have had an effect). Now instead of psychedelic colors it's just totally black. Does anyone have any ideas for how I can troubleshoot/fix this?

quick question about the advanced restore.. i have boot, data and system checked.. am i missing something or have something extra?

for everyone who wants to watch hulu and other desktop flash sites follow these instructionsdancedroid

(so happy with froyo had to catch ppls attention)

the method, as illustrated by absolutely android, merely requires you to type "about:debug" into the url bar, select uastring (which allows you to change the user agent, or the identifying network protocol of your browser) and select "desktop."

read this for watching hulu!

I type in about:debug and NOTHING happens.

I think that is just part of clockwork and not needed for Froyo to put apps on the SD. Reason I think this is because I went into manage apps and AK Notepad allowed me to put it on the SDcard, the rest of the apps had that option grayed out.

I do not have a partition on my SD card.

Just a reminder for those who don't read 50 pages prior to this:

For those having problems with Titanium Backup. Install the newest version of Busybox, and you should be good to go.

Where can one find the latest version of busybox? I tired searching around but can not find an android busybox.

Thanks!

I always check every option. Worked for me. I got a boot loop trying to install over BB1.1:blush:, but I wiped data/cache and restored the Froyo and booted right up.

yea pretty sure u need a partition to use it, but right now it seems most apps dont have the ability to be moved to the sd card yet, they need to be updated by their developers

hey guys whats up with apps to the sd card? is there some process? under manage apps the option to move to sd card is greyed out.
