Froyo Release Thread

Can anyone with colored Gmail labels check their gmail app for me? I thought that Froyo was supposed to support colored labels but only the blue ones show up for me and the rest are white.

I actually saw this over on droid life first, I woke up and while being a bum laying in bed I decided to check out DL on my phone. I saw "get android 2.2 on your droid" and that immediately woke me up.

Ive had it on my droid for the past few hours and after everything sync'd, i installed launcher pro and I oc'd it to 800mhz she's flying! I got 957 in quadrant and 12.737 MFLOPS in linpack. I cant wait until we get a 1+ GHz kernel for this. Great job guys!

Flash seemed to be a little slow for me but then again that may be because I was using it while it was syncing and i only checked out two sites (adobe and hulu). Ive noticed one bug with scope when you try to type into the address bar and the virtual keyboard comes up and it seems like the keyboard screen, xscope tab/address bar and the notification bar are all fighting for the top few millimeters of the screen because it keeps jumping back and forth. Not having wifi kinda sucks since at my job i dont get very good 3g service since theres no windows and the wifi probably interferes with the the 3g signal. I'll see how it goes...

Just a reminder for those who don't read 50 pages prior to this:

Things to remember with this release:

Wifi and 3G now work...link: Froyo Overclocked Kernels includes *wifi* fix

The first time you run this update.zip it will take several minutes to install.

You must have a rooted Droid to use this ROM

Those who are already rooted and saying "hey I lost SU", there is a link in the first post that brings it back.

I had to run "Flash Alternate Recovery" twice before I could go back to SPRecovery from ROM Manager

For those having problems with Titanium Backup. Install the newest version of Busybox, and you should be good to go.

this link is not working for me..

has anyone got adb to work?

i cannot get a successful<sp> adb remount to ding.

adb shell does work though, but i want to push a bootani to data/local and cant get it to work.

if anyone got it to work can u please let me know if you did anything extra to get it to go through

i used adb push and pull with no problems, but u might need to download the 2.2 sdk if u havent already

odd, well i downloaded 2.2sdk when it came out, i skipped remount and tried to push a file and it said partition is read only, so then i used root explorer to make it r/w but now its just saying permission denied.

i did the update.zip for su so i know i got that set.
weird i cant figure it out.

Trying this again since it won't let me edit for some reason :P

Where can one find the latest version of busybox? I tired searching around but can not find an android busybox.

Thanks!
It's in Titanium Backup. Click where it says "Problems?" on the lower right.
I installed busybox from Titanium backup but Ninja morph still says its not there.
