Froyo Release Thread

Question: I did a clear cache x3 then wiped data and installed froyo. Did my titanium backup not work because of the data wipe? Should I not wipe data to keep all of my apps through titanium backup? Thanks

Titanium won't work because BusyBox is not installed. In Titanium, hit "Problems?" Let it install BusyBox, and then restore your apps like you always used to!
So I need to REDOWNLOAD titanium completely? Because my phone is stock fresh now, no apps that I ever DLed are still there and it's just stock apps

in titanium just hit the problems button and let it download and install completely. then you should have busybox back and if your having root problems with titanium then it should also fix that too.

That is correct. :D

I fixed tha Maps manual update problem. Simply went into /system/app and deleted the Maps.apk
Checked in /data/app to see if anything was in there regarding Maps and found nothing.
Back into the market to install Maps installed successfully.
This worked for me. YMMV

i used root explorer and when i select delete it says it cant because the system is read only. what do i do? i remember having this problem before but i cant remember what i did to fix it

On top of root explorer, are you clicking mount as read/write (RW) as opposed to read only (RO)

Yeah, you need to be mounted as read write in order to delete anything in system.
