Got it ordered. Ships 11-27.
In the process of pre-ordering, there's a pop up that says "This is a Global Device and can be used internationally." So, there's confirmation for those who were wondering if it would have global capabilities out of the box.

Just bought it for 699 so I could keep my unlimited. After tax and the cool flip cover, it ran me 800$ eeekk! Before when I ordered it, it didn't give me a ship date, but now on their website it says nov 27th

I really think you made the right decision on the phone but I'm not sure why pre-ordering makes sense. I doubt this will be an iPhone like rush that will put them in short supply and since the delivery date is a full month away, why commit now? I doubt it but perhaps something you like more comes out before then. I'd be surprised if you can't find them in the stores on the day they are available. T-Mobile is the only US carrier selling them today and they didn't sell out of theirs.
Sometimes pre-orders ship early. :biggrin:

I know with Verizon that EVERYTHING is speculation! But does anyone think there is a chance it could ship early?
I recently ordered the iPhone 5 with a ship date of Oct. 19 and it was shipped EXACTLY on the 19th! Is that a clear indication that it WILL be the 27th for the Note?
Or are circumstances different because it's a different phone?

This won't be known until Verizon comments on it.
A store rep told me today that I could preorder in store after work and the Nov 27th was a "will be shipped by" date meaning that it is the latest date it will ship. From her experience, it may be 1-2 wks for it to ship. However, she's just a rep and that's not an official press release from verizon, so you can't count on it.
This launch has been the latest example of just how much of a giant a-hole the company has become:
1. No solid information even after a launch party that should've provided details. Possibly a month later than all others.
2. Offering the lowest storage capacity model of a media phone.
3. Being the only carry to brand the front (why not just etch "vzw" into the gorilla glass you POS).
4. Possibly the only carrier to lock the bootloader.
5. And then of course 14 out of 16 gbs of garbage software.
6. Oh, and they still want my unlimited data gone.
I really can't recall ever being so pissed as a customer as I am with this company at this point.

Verizon has the best network hands down so that is why many including me put up with them. In virtually every other respect THEY SUCK.

U know the reason why Verizon is so far behind everyone else releasing this?
Because they had to put that stupid Verizon logo on all the home buttons first.
