General review, complaints, and info

anyone have any issues with the softkey lights not turning off, of turning back on if the screen is tapped while the display is off? mine seem to always stay lit unless i tap the screen a few times until they go off.

Wow not being able to screenshot is annoying... The screen is what drains it, for me. I just looked and I have a bazillion things syncing. What the heck is Facebook for HTC Sense and why does it show everywhere but the app drawer???

GPS not working.. anyone else have this issue or know a fix?

Hello everyone. Received my TB two days ago and activated it and have loved it. It is a pretty awesome phone.

My only big complaint so far is that my GPS never works. I have tried rebooting and pulling the battery and giving it time after I turn it on and it has only worked one time out of about 50 tries.

I downloaded gps test from the market and it is finding multiple satellites but still no GPS when I try to use it for Maps or Navigation.

Anyone else have this problem or know anything I can do to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Facebook and twitter for HTC is not an app, they use it for HTC widgets and for the peeps app.

sorry to hear you are also having issues. I guess I'm going to run by Verizon tomorrow and see if they can offer a solution. I am worried if they connot because I am sure they don't have any in stock to replace mine and I don't want to go over my 14 days being able to return it. Do I have a 30 day time limit against defects? So I'll be able to receive a new one within that 30 days and not a refurb? I'm sure there aren't any refurbs YET but it will only be a few more days before some teenagers send their phones in for dropping them in a the toilet and whatnot lol

Well I just turned i on and opened up Maps and just left it sitting and it turned on and worked after about 2 minutes. After it is on I can turn it off and then turn it back on in a few minutes and it finds signal almost instantly.

Is this normal for it to take some time the first time you turn it on for the day? 3-4 minutes?

I will have to wait for some time and then try turning it on again and leaving it to confirm it just takes some time to work instead of my original presumption that it was not working at all.

Ah. Was wondering if it was something like that. Kind of pointless imo. I like using the app itself, so it's just annoying.

I've been... THUNDERSTRUCK!

Good call, worked for me. I cleared map data and turned for off then on after I did it and it found me quickly. Now just have to try in a diff location

It depends on whether the phone remembers the satellite positions after you shut it off. For instance, my old Garmin handheld GPS would start up very quickly after turned on again, as long as I didn't remove the AA batteries to conserve the batteries. It would remember all the positions as long as it had power while turned off. However, if I were to turn it on again in a place very different than when I turned it off, like 50 miles away, then it would have to re-establish the satellite positions again. The closer I was to where I had last turned it off, the faster it would re-establish the positions. I don't use GPS much on my Droid, so I don't remember how it works between shutdowns (remembers satellite positions).

I think I like the TB

Right now I am on my computet AND on my TB at the same time!!!

I think Verizon sprinkled crack on it! They did go to the back of the store "to get it"...I got a laced phone for sure...

I just got my Thunderbolt yesterday and I wanted to put music from my itunes library onto my phone. I have no idea how to do it so can anyone help me.

I think mine got this "lacing" too. :) It's just such a nice looking phone and the build quality is awesome coming from the forgotten land of Samsung. :(
