Ha! 32gigs would be sick....Go a step further and think 32 internal plus TWO 32 sd slots!

Would take some work, but certainly possible to eventually fill 96gigs. Basically becomes all your media in one portable device.

Lol mate. That's the whole reason I want this phone to come out and before year's end. I am tired of walking around with my Dare and iTouch. I just want to be able to put all my music on it and still be able to use apps and whatnot.

Sigh, if only VZW had gotten the EVO....alas a Crab can dream. =(

I just went out and bought an Evo 3 days ago and as a owner of a Droid 1,2,eris, and Incredible I can only say that this Evo is the best phone I have ever had. Don't buy another Verizon phone without LTE or dual cameras just wait or do what I did and get a Evo.

Why would I want a phone that feels like it is cheap and brittle and on a subpar network? Sprint's WiMax (4G) is not nearly as good as what Verizon's LTE is going to be. Verizon will implement their LTE quicker than what Sprint will their WiMax.

You are locked into a 2-year contract with an inferior phone while Verizon has been letting people get updates to the latest smartphones with the 2-year contract renewal pricing! Sure, my DX can't do video calling, but that isn't important at this stage of the game.

I will sell my DX on eBay for ~$300 when Motorola's next dual-core LTE capable phone comes out towards the end of the year. Then, I will pay $199 and just renew my 2-year contract with the best carrier in the United States, Verizon.

Let's face it, Sprint is terrible. Heck, their WiMax is so pitiful that it doesn't even travel through walls very well which makes using it indoors very bad.


I'm happy that you are happy with your phone, but for you to tell people to get a cheap HTC phone which is on an inferior carrier is just wreckless.

^ that's a little brash. I doubt there are many people that think their EVO is cheap. It would be nice to have more than one option as far as networks go, which is the situation i am in. I may have gone with sprint for the evo if it was an option. then verizon kicked it up a notch in their lineup.
I am desperately waiting for more info on this baby.

Well I have seen some peeps on other forums say that VZW may allow usage of their LTE before the year is over. I just hope I don't have to wait until next year for this bad boy. Like someone said, a Black Friday release would be epic.

I don't care if I get to use the 4G network; I just stopped myself from getting a Droid X because I saw this to be somewhere around the corner. I just wish the dude that took the photos had taken better photos showing us the entire device. Hopefully someone will garner some more information about it so I can start drooling fresh again.

I agree. I'd rather have a capable device and be pleasantly suprised when it's live than wait for them to come out with the entire package together.

I was smack in the middle of a Droid X vs Droid Incredible debate with myself when the leaked photos were posted. I'm 50/50 between the two, with screen size on the X and Sense UI on the Incredible being my major debate. When I saw those pics, I was in heaven.

I hope it comes out soon. I'm eager to get away from this Blackberry and into the Android world.

Buy an original Moto Droid from eBay or somewhere till an LTE phone comes out, then you can get it with all the discounts. There is no reason to still use a blackberry.

I went on Craigslist and posted that I wanted to trade my BB Storm 2 for any droid device, and was very happy when someone offered to do so. I even helped him with gas money.....bye bye BB

one of the best parts about this phone is the fact it wont have physical keyboard.. if your looking for one i suggest you start following a different thread this one will be touch only.

I'm almost left to wonder if someone doesn't have their butt in a ringer about leaking this one. There hasn't been much of a peep of a follow up to this one yet.

Yea, your definitely right about it not having a keyboard, i'd probably still pick it up if it only had the dual core. But What I hope it is not, is a rebranded Evo, because that would suck huge!

I agree an exact version of the Evo would suck if it ain't 1.3 + I'm not interested..

This could be the phone that finally rep laces my droid, when people speculate about it being an HD version of the incredible or desire, can someone shed some light on this, are we to expect full hd, a higher resolution, something similar to that retina display?

^all guesses at this point until more info leaks.
But we can guess more. The resolution will most likely be 800X480, usual smartphone android res. It will probably record 720p video-this is where the HD comes in.
My hopes are: android 3.0(or whatever the next release is), at least an 1800 battery, no verizon bloat or bing, option to turn off sense(if it has it, which is an unknown given the rumors of 3.0 being less skinable?).

Actually my first hope is that this is indeed a verizon phone. Anyone here remember the passion phone leaked images that were for verizon? this ended up being the nexus one.

As much as I desired this, I just rooted my D1 and slightly overclocked it. My performance is now smooth, wireless tether, etc. Whiles yes, I would like a front facing camera, my D1 feels like a new phone. I may just wait down the line until there is a good STOCK Android phone coming to Verizon, 3.0 minimum.

The only negative to my DROID is that I am such an app whore, I am always getting low space warnings. The internal storage space is way low on that thing!
