I was thinking this a few days ago, and I agree. I have a feeling HTC will do that tho....it will probably be the first LTE phone on Verizon, have a Front camera, and thats it.

I was thinking this a few days ago, and I agree. I have a feeling HTC will do that tho....it will probably be the first LTE phone on Verizon, have a Front camera, and thats it.

This phone will be so much better than the X. Hopefully this phone will have a dual core processor and lte 
well have to wait and find out.. but keep in mind there is supposed to be an HTC Device with 4.3 screen and 1.5 ghz processor out this year (rumored of course) but by a reliable source.. thought to be the scorpion but thats just a name.. the fact this one is 4.3, HTC and verizon make it the closest thing to the scorpion yet..
no offense to anyone but i hope this is not LTE cause that means all possibilities of this one coming out before Jan is gone..
Everyone is comparing this phone to the EVO when the scorpion was mentioned to be verizons version of the EVO which obviously the specs of the scorpion (rumored of course) make the EVO laughable..
and not to mention the source that gave THIS PHONE'S INFO to BGR said it will make the Droid 2 "look like a kids toy" so that alone is giving me hope i need that it will not be identical to the EVO..

all i can say is this quote makes me believe that we aren't waiting on an EVO replica.

I was under the impression that when they made that statement they were referring to its appearance not its specs. However, I hope the specs do make the D2 look like a kids toy.
Thats a good point I didn't think of it that way.. I hope not tho its silly to compare a qweerty to a touch only imo.. but good point when they say "look" its hard to tell if they meant apperance or performance.. I hope performance

Highly doubt this phone will have LTE. Verizon is only launching LTE near the end of the year. It wont be as widespread as 3G at least until next summer when this rumored HTC device will be old news, most noticeably because of newest phones like the Verizon LTE iPhone.
Next Spring-Summer we will see some good LTE phones. Until then, Droid X rapes.

Droid 1 still rapes (truthfully). Also, the Droid X may be old news by December. Carriers usually release great phones during the holidays. Especially since November is the 1 year anniversery of the Droid 1. So maybe they will "celebrate" be releasing that 2ghz phone that motorola (promised) by the end of the year. All in all, phones are phones. We just have to accept that these days phones are obsolete within 3 months.

The X wont be obsolete until it stops getting updated. It will get gingerbread and honeycomb as well. So will the Droid 2, Fascinate and Incredible. EOL dates don't meant phones will be outdated. And that EOL rumor is just speculation. By this time next year, nobody will care about this Evo lookalike because an LTE iPhone and plethora of LTE Droids will be out. This is why I got my X on release day and get to enjoy it till next summer which is the time most new hit phones come out.This phone will be so much better than the X. Who knows? They could very well be keeping it so secret that they will announce it at the last minute
That is exactly why I am waiting for this phone I don't want to deal with a boot loader I rather just root and have a manufacturer thats behind me knowing I'm going to root.. That's why I'm waiting for this phone vs any moto that's 2ghz..a long as its more than 1ghz I'm going to get it.. This is coming from someone that's invested with motorola LOL
