You need to look up the second generation snapdragon processor it's cpu core is a beast. And the new gpu isn't that bad

I've messed around with the Droid x, good phone but not for me, the original droid is still my only android phone and its still one of the best phones out there, the X just didn't have that I gotta have it factor, this HTC phone does, no offense motor, but this phone is looking to be the next big thing

I dunno im hoping that Moto will come up wtih a 4" Droid with a Dual Core 1.2+ with like a QUALITY 5-8mp cam with top notch lenses..... Because i love how they have the stand alone camera button... or i wish that HTC would hop on that Wagon and start making their phones with Stand Alone camera buttons ... they are so much nicer for taking pics with the 2 stage button opposed to the touch camera button on the HTC phones

Having gingerbread would be great right out the door, but if the HTC incredible HD or whatever they call it, scorpion preferably, comes out with an edge in terms of hardware or flexibility such as no locked bootloader then its HTC for me, can't wait to side by side comparisons of these two phones...and lets not forget the possibility of one of these or both exhibiting an LTE frequency, ugh the agony of waiting

If there is a big diff like moto comes out with 1.2 and htc comes out with that long awaited 1.5 then deff will wait for new android and go with htc..

I've been sitting back comfortably waiting for my 11/6 upgrade and hoping the HTC would be out around then but no panic. No this Moto makes the wait even more interesting.

Then disaster struck yesterday as my Droid1 decided to stop sensing screen touches. It turns out a day golfing in the mist a month ago might have done it in. No insurance so no warranty so no phone. Stuck with an friend's (gag) dumb phone I guess until I can upgrade to the most worthy phone. Cold turkey is hell!

Instead of an interesting wait it's now agony! And I hope I don't take the first of the two to come out rather than the better of the two phones.

I know your pain all to well. The touch screen on my original Omnia has been out for nearly two months. I've had to resort to using the sketchy optical mouse. So I was under the impression I was due for an upgrade in December right? Well I just came to find out that a few months back my sister managed to sweet talk a Verizon employee into bumping our upgrades up so she could get an Eris (we're on a family plan to cut costs). So I head to the shop with my heart set on getting an X, but then check out the Incredible and D2, and can't make up mind. At this point I hit the internet to get some info I can't get in the store so I could compare a little more, and wind up here...and that's where everything went wrong.

Now I spend every day trying not to run into the store and get a phone because I want to wait for one of these rumored holiday releases. It's pure torture using this crippled Omnia knowing full well that I could pick up a Droid at any time.

i would wait man, i wanted an android phone back in Feb/March of 2009. Couple months later a phone was leaked headed for verizon when droid was known as the "Motorola Sholes" and was leaked out in/around April/May for the first time i thought the phone would never come and was almost about to go to another carrier and get the My Touch.. Boy was it a pain in the ass to hold off but man was it worth it..

Just wait it out, these rumors look promising although in the last couple days i have switched gears a little.. if the Moto T2 is released as 4.3 touch device then there is almost no doubt ill have to pick it up over this HTC desire/incredible HD phone we see.. esp if moto puts a T2 in there phone and if this phone just happens to come out the same as Desire HD with the new snap dragon 1 ghz.. not good enough for me.. esp now that we see the d2 world with 1.2 ghz processor..

Patience will pay off i think, like i said before we only have 3 months left in the year and they do need time to sell it for christmas so i dont think we have that much time left of waiting..

as an FYI that sholes phone i was talking about came to be known as the Motorola Droid we know today.. i guess i assumed people would know that.. but others are reading it saying wtf is a sholes.. lol

Sholes was/is a horrible name and I hope it stays in the past where it belongs :)

As crazy as it sounds and as much as it pains me, I hope to not see this until Verizon's CEO is standing on stage at CES in January sporting some LTE.
