DX is a sick phone.. but i dont think it will cut it even with the new overclock.. i was hoping for higher ghz but its most likely going to be the same as desire with 2nd gen processor.. which apparently a big deal according to quadrant scores.. and GPU is better for gaming experience..

they make look similar but you better believe this phone will blow the DX out of the water in every aspect as far as specs go, i dont need to know the specs to say that it should have some edge over the desire HD and that phone already kills the DX so it only makes sense..

Meh I don't care about hdmi if it functioned natively like say the n8 and we're allowed to display everything then yeah but with it only being able to display my recorded content is would much rather have dlna
Well does it have DLNA? There are ways of getting movies to play from the phone. That is why I wanted to know if it has HDMI port. I have a DX but I am going to give it to my wife and use her update to get this phone or the Droid T2.

I have to say that the lack of HDMI out will be a deal breaker for some. (myself included) I don't have it now, but really wanted it on my next phone. Guess we'll have to wait for the full specs to be released before I make a decision. I REALLY wanted this phone to have it all. (HDMI and FF camera)
Although...as simple as it sounds, the kickstand might sell it!

Well what will this have over the desire hd? And other than the front facing camera, what makes this phone sooo much better than the droid x? The 2nd gen snapdragon is probably on par with the omap processor. Please explain how exactly this will be better than the x

I just realized with the kickstand you wouldnt have to blow $40 on a multimedia deck.

Or buy a $2.99 business card holder from Office Depot to hold it in viewable position. ;)

I sure wish I knew more about the future and hopefully we will before 11/23. As Taylor from Android and Me just blogged today:

"Overall I think leaked shots of the Incredible HD look gorgeous and we have no reason not to believe the sources that claim the phone is shipping this year. I’m sure it will do quite well on Verizon as a flagship 3G phone, but I think it might be a tough sell to the hardcore crowd that already knows faster phones with dual-core processors and 4G LTE support are coming early next year."

I am unsure at this point if I'd use up my annual upgrade for this beauty.

there is no way i can be specific on your question. As it stands the Desire HD is a much better phone than the DX all i was trying to say is this phone should (in my opinion only) have slightly better specs than the Desire HD to make the US wait over a Euro release but thats just what i think.

At the very least if this phone comes out identical to the Desire HD it will still have better specs than the DX and way better quadrant scores.

Most of my basis is from BGR's insider saying "this phone will make the droid 2 look like a kids toy" and i dont think they physically mean "looks" because they are 2 entirely different phones by design.. time will tell.. Miami hasn't posted in 2 days so hopefully hes getting some info together for us lol

May not be a HUGE jump as a Tegra 2 phone would be but way more than enough to stand over the DX in comparison. My roomate is on the edge of getting a DX to, if you want it get it but im telling you, you will be sorry if you want the best performing phone possible.

That is why I am taking my time with this one.. Because I am using my wife's upgrade and my upgrade for my DX will not be available until 2012. I am going to wait for the Specs on this phone and wait for more information on the T2 before i make my permanent decision.

Until this phone is confirmed lets not forget about the named Scorpion device that was supposed to have 1.5 ghz processor from a supposed reliable insider .. was supposed to hit verizon in 2010 and doesnt seem as likely to come out after the fact of releasing a phone this close to looks from the same manufacture so whats stopping this phone from being the scorpion? (code name i know)

Shooting for the stars i know but its possible esp if its been kept such a secret for this long.. Unless someone was blowing smoke up our ass about the 1.5 ghz processor this entire time i think we have a good chance..

i would if i were you.. ill be honest the only reason i am going to jump on this is because im going to use my gma's upgrade and use mine sometime next year when the 2nd or 3rd generation LTE device comes out (what i mean by that is i dont want the first high spec'd LTE phone, if this much is coming early next year no telling what will be out mid year but honestly it will never stop there will always be a better phone coming, this is just worthy enough to jump on coming from the droid 1)

This could very well be that "Scorpion" device. I mean, the 2nd gen chip set in this is technically called Scorpion, so that could be where the device name came from. Either way, this device is gonna be awesome after seeing the hardware and software of the Desire HD.

I dont know how much i like the idea of a Kickstand... i kinda wish that there wasnt gonna be one on there... Im wondering whether when Verizon makes cases for it whether the case will cover the Kickstand to make the back smooth.
