Call me biased, but I wish only Moto devices had the DROID name. It confuses everybody. When the DROID 1 was compared to the Eris back in the beginning--it was embarrassing.

"My phone is NOTHING like an Eris!!!"

The incredible raised the bar but DROID, DROID X and DROID 2's unique look screams "DROID" to me. And not all Moto devices because the devour looks nothing like it.

The subject phone of this thread should be the EVO HD or something.

Well I see it as the opposite. I see the Droid name as a high end android phone on vzw. Nothing more. I could care less about bing, but google search is what will come with the Droid name, so no biggy there.

Now, on the subject of bing, just to be clear, I would rather have Google Search, but Bing isn't going to keep me from buying a phone.

Apparently back on sept 1st this site called what we are just now finding out about. Saying “Various sources” claim its coming Q4 2010? Instead of only using miami as a source looks like there are others out there.

Bing gets a bad wrap. I rather have Google, don't get me wrong, and I am confident I can eventually root Google in, but I don't feel I need to Root Bing out. Its not a make or break deal for me.


With that being said, AndroidGUys blog believes this will be a Bingified pone.

With THAT being said, I don't really trust these random blogs except BGR and maybe DROID Life.

I just don't see a phone on such a high caliber phone from a carrier that has already had a Droid named phone not getting the Droid name. I mean, it beats the pants off most, and if not all, phones on the market in most specs. Why would Verizon put one of their best android phones on their line without the Droid name?

Wow it's been an extremely busy day. For a device like this to not get a droid branding it would gave to be powered by bing. It was not powered by bing when I played with it. Now I've been packed for two days straight but tomorrow I will get a chance tom get out and visit with my vow friends. I'll ask again but I'm pretty sure it's a droid incredible HD by htc. Powered google and with sense 2.5. If that changes illnbe the first to be upset as I want only what I had in my hand. As far as let goes I will also ask about that tomorrow again. Though he was very clear this would be a coma only device.

sorry thats what happens when you try to post and work at the same time lol..

i meant they wouldnt be able to advertise LTE on the phone if consumers cannot put it to use yet..

Man i was typing on an ipad and it didn't do so well. The front facing camera should be there but remember i said early hardware. Maybe not for release hardware or the retail version. Now like the iphone if they release a front camera and I'm just speculating on this it would be enabled on wifi only. Unlike the Evo its sibling for sure but the desire hd didn't have the kick stand.

Btw the df app updated today and now supports landscape mode too so grab your updates.

@ wen right now nothing i can do to get pics up. As soon as i have what i need ill post the specs with proof and pictures also.
