Gorgeous, mysterious, EVO-ish HTC device headed for Verizon

A little off topic, but if you get a new Android phone and are coming from an older one, does the apps automatically download to the new device after signing into your Google account? Or do you have to redownload all the apps manually?

Can't remember. At one point, they were supposed to come over automatically, but I don't think I have seen that yet. If you're nonrooted, load Appbrain. That helps a lot with carrying over. If you're rooted, use Titanium Backup also.

Thanks, that was what I needed. So the IncHD should beat it in the camera department with an 8mp, the 4.3" size, possible HDMI (that one isn't that important to me).

For those going nonrooted, it should have the newest iteration of Sense.

Sense 2.5 I believe.

Don't get me wrong, the Fascinate is a great device. And you did say something very important. This is your first Android, so you really can't go wrong keeping it. That has, what, the 4" screen?

The IncHD is 4.3" and believe has HDMI. Think the processor is amped up, also. Can't remember all the specs of the Fascinate off the top of my head.

Fascinate specs : 1ghz processor, 5MP camera, touchwiz interface 4 inch super AMOLED screen,... any thing else?

MP dont mean nothing only if ur blowing the pic up many 5MP look better than 8MP its all about quality and features

Yeah its Sense 2.5, 4.3" display, 1GHz (2nd-gen snapdragon) processor, 768MB RAM, 8MP Camera.

Not really sure that .3" , 8mp and HDMI necessarily beats it though. With the dLNA capabilities of the Fascinate, HDMI isn't really necessary...

Oh I agree on the HDMI. I don't see that as a dealbreaker by any measure. The Fascinate is a good phone from what I understand. I need to make it by to see it at the store. Got a discount ready but am going to wait until the IncHD hits.

It won't be hard, if that is what you are asking.

Just come into the device without an expectations. Act just like it's your first smartphone. You will enjoy it way more if you're not worrying about what it does/doesn't do in comparison to an iPhone, or any other device for that matter.

And, of course, we will be here to help you with any problems you come upon.

It's all in your definition of easy. There is definitely a learning curve. Much more you can modify and customize. But you'll like it.

Excellent!! Well the sooner you guys get up the "how to root/hack the DINC HD" the better! I cant wait to get this phone and mod it out. Cant really do that with an iPhone. I mean other than jailbreaking, which is still not that user friendly...
