Just came out of a Verizon store. Said HTC might make something for them when I said I was choosing between Sprint and Verizon because I wanted the Evo. So I asked and said he's sure something from HTC will come out with something next year. I then pointed out I didnt care for 4G, just the style. So he changed what he said to "maybe a month or two". I know its not much, but should ease some with doubts about it coming anytime soon.

I spoke to the store manager at my local VZW store three days ago about this device. He acknowledged that Verizon was getting the device but he did not know a specific date. So I.told him that it was expected to be released on November 23. He didn't seem too surprised.

Trying out Sprint for a month. Sent from my Evo using Tapatalk. 4G is pointless when you don't live in one of the few available network areas.

yea i hope i see sumn new this month cuz i need to switch to verizon i wish VZW would say sumn cuz im ready to pull the trigger on the epic 4g!! and the X is played out everyone has that so i got to be different and get sumn else lol

ya i agree, if nothing comes tomorrow i seriously am going to be thinking wtf!!

i was hoping this weekend to spend some free time looking at the new pics/specs but if it comes tomorrow will need to look while at work which will suck threw a lil tiny window at the bottom of my screen lol

My big concern if I get this at launch, how soon until we get root so I can be able to Wi-Fi tether? I use it on my Droid pretty frequently for my iPad when I'm out, and it's pretty important that I have it.

You can use your Droid until we get root for the Dinc HD. Buy the Dinc HD and just play with it but dont activate it yet.

When this phone comes out it will be my first Droid. I want to still be able to tether the way I have been doing with my Storm via tether.com. My question is what is root? And why would you suggest not activating the phone? I don't know if I will continue using tether.com but I still need to the ability to use something... Thanks!

He suggested that just for him. Root is the allowance of super user permissions. You get to decide yes or no on much more. It opens u up to ROMs, overclocking and much much much more. If you NEED tether, wait until this phone is rooted. Or buy it and don't activate it until it gets rooted.

In the DF app, it keeps putting me back to a page 128 every time I open it and I have to jump to the current page. How do I fix this?
