Gorgeous, mysterious, EVO-ish HTC device headed for Verizon

Well after reading through this forum for over a week i'm calling BS.

I know Miami has credit for announcing the Droid Incredible ahead of time but i'm calling his bluff and saying he has nothing.

We all have lives, some busier then others, and some of us have families. I know they take time but you can't tell me you can't pop on here and upload a photo. I mean the guy has been posting all week about how it will only be an hour or a day, blah blah blah and we have been led on for a week now. I get the whole i want to release it all at once or i'm waiting for my people but come on man. You have a huge group of people following you and your basically dicking everyone over when you could just release one picture.

I'm going to make an annoucement myself. I also have pics and info on the Droid Incredible HD....i'll be posting them tomorrow, and by tomorrow i mean sometime whenever.

Trust me, he's not bluffing. I've talked to him and all I want to say is, just wait till tomorrow. That's all I'm gonna say.

Trust me, you don't even know the half of it... A lot of things and I mean a lot, has been going on... But just know, he is not bluffing. Why would he tarnish his reputation just to lie to all of us? He wouldn't.

No clue, i mean he could do this for weeks till he actually got something and then 3 weeks from now when he posts people will act like he had the info the whole time and he will be the one that gets credit for it.

Post something, anything. It's not that hard.

So - about the only thing I am seeing that this phone is missing is the micro HDMI jack.

No HDMI Jack will a deal breaker for me. I will stick with my DX until T2 comes... I was hoping This had a HDMI jack. I am still hoping that these pictures are of a earlier version and that they add a HDMI jack..

If they called it the incredible HD why on earth would there NOT be an hdmi jack?!?! It just makes sense.

Now on the other hand if they call it the Incredible 2...

I have never said or thought that he was bluffing. But I think Verizon is in control of this. I am convinced that they don't want this out until sometime in early November. If that happens tomorrow then good for all of us. But I am not going to hold my breath over this. I think his Verizon contacts have been yanking Miami's chain for over a week now so they can control this "leak".

I think they know that this stalling effort is generating tons of free publicity. Had they dropped the information a week and a half ago it would have gotten lost in all the Verizon iPhone rumors that ran last week and while it would have gotten some attention - it won't get the attention that a release tomorrow will. Now...many many people have been watching this thread and are ready to pounce on any real news that hits.

I will be pleasantly surprised if we have something tomorrow by start of day.

But I am still hoping that it happens. Miami - I feel badly for you that your reputation has been dragged through the mud due to the antics of the folks over at Verizon.

But hey...when it drops it drops. This will be my next phone - if the November 23rd date is correct...it is going to be a very long three weeks waiting for this!!!

Why not? Apple loves to release stuff on Tuesday. New music and movies are released on Tuesday. Places like Best Buy get lots of traffic on a Tuesday due to the Tuesday release schedule in the media industry.

But hey, after all the free press HTC/Verizon have gotten through the jerking around they did to Miami over the last two weeks they could release it on a Thursday at 1:23 AM and people would still know about it and be in line to buy it...including me.

why would it be a deal breaker? I mean you could use DLNA if there is no hdmi jack.

Believe what you want to believe...

I am optimistic when you say to wait till tomorrow. But I was also optimistic when for several days in a row - it was tomorrow...and then a while back it was "within the hour". So - until either Miami decides to release what he has and quit waiting on the VZW folks - or the VZW folks quit jerking his chain...this "wait until tomorrow crap" will continue to just elevate peoples expectations and lead to disappointment.

And for the record I am not saying your or Miami are the source of the "crap" I firmly believe that this nonsense is due to VZW and their controlled "release" of this information.
