had to get rid of my nexus

Sorry to add to the non issue group but me too. At first it was shaky but it ironed itself out just fine. Never had a wifi issue which is odd, it was mostly a 3g in my house issue. Outside of my house I get 3-4 bars of 4g in most places.

Also I wouldn't go so far as to say the screen of the rezound blows away the nexus. If its one thing the gnex does right its the screen, and in that dept. it raped the rezound blind.

Maybe is just looks that way when you're looking at pictures from your 5MP camera.

Not at all. Did back to back HD video tests on both and the rezound is more washed out and fuzzy. Sorry bud.

Well, each of us have our own taste. I remember after getting rid of my Nexus because it couldn't keep a signal to save its life, the first thing I did when I got the Rezound home was remark as to how much better the screen was than the Nexus. Better screen and a phone that actually works. Who could ask for anything more?

I don't understand how people can say this screen is not the best. It's not even a matter of opinion. The rezound has slightly better ppi only because of its smaller screen which is actually a disadvantage to me. The nexus has a larger screen, it is led which is plus considering every good TV nowadays is led as well, everything is just vibrant and NOT over saturated like typical led. Not to mention that the fact that its led doesn't make it any worse in direct sunlight. The screen is very clear in all weather conditions which is more that can be said for the competition.

This phones screen is the best. I wouldn't give this phone up simply because of the screen and the fact that its a nexus. It has flaws but they will be fixed soon I think.

I don't regret it. It is more of a pain to flash roms/kernels, or at least will take some getting used to. I guess unlocking, rooting and flashing recovery was relatively painless. Still waiting for a stable, vanilla ICS before I bother with it. I'm tempted by Scott's Clean or Senseless ICS. With the developer support going full speed, there's really nothing the Nexus has on it aside from a larger screen (and, ok, the disappearing buttons are nice....if you watch much video).

I also stuck a 64gig SD card in it and I couldn't be happier to have more than double the storage of the Nexus.
It is just unbelievable to me that it worked. That is pretty cool.

The deal killer for the Galaxy nexus with me was no SD...I cant imagine why they would think that would be a good idea.

Not sure where you got that from. I have no problems reading anything on the Rezound outside.

Bigger is not always better. 4.5"+ is a little too unwieldy for a phone IMO. Also it has no hardware buttons...so navigation controls either always take up screen real estate or are not immediately accessible. I like having instant access to the home and back buttons all the time.

It does have deeper blacks, but the color reproduction is not as good. I agree that the "oversaturation" argument is exaggerated. The GN does have a nice display.

LOL!

The camera on the Rezound is definitely better, and not just because of the higher resolution. (The front camera has a better resolution than the GN as well). The camera is one of the selling points of the Rezound IMO.

You're not alone. Mine is flawless. :D

@pc glad you got a phone that is working better for you! I can only imaging how frustrating it must've been for you going through 4 different ones!

Yeah I know people are not having any issues what so ever. I wish things could have been different for me but like I said I had to make a decision and a tough one. Cuz I just kept exchanging them left and right and what happened was the guy who worked for best buy basically said its the software and after this 4th one if it does it again you have to just wait for an update. My only other option was an exchange for a different device and it was the last day to do so. Either way I made out good so its all good for me.

To be honest I really think all 3 are great devices, razr, nexus, rezound. Which is truly better is an argument which I think is unnecessary. What ever phone is best for the user is the best phone. The rezound is a sleeper and really not getting a lot of love as the other 2 but I assure you that if you had the chance to play with it and truly use it you would understand why people love it. And I think its the same with the razr and nexus as well. All 3 of them have specs that we would kill for a year ago. Its almost unfortunate they were released back to back like that because I think in a way they are all taking from each other. People been waiting for the nexus since the nexus one and I was one of them. The nexus is no slouch we are talking about the same hardware that is on the samsung galaxy s 2 which has dominated world wide and for the first time had people believing that there was a truly better device than the iphone; that same harware nexus owners have with stock ics and a wide open phone. With the rezound you have a power house. Take the incredible and dual core, a true hd screen, beats like sound, a better camera, and an unlockable bootloader (i know the incredible didnt have a locked bootloader) and you have a phone built for pure entertainment. The razr is build with top notch hardware, come in different varieties, a gorgeous screen, a much improved blur ui, accessories, and software additions that just make the phone helpful to users. So if you look at what we have its a hard choice and if I could I would buy them all. So nexus users my thread is not to down the nexus its a great device. If you see I had a sad icon in the title. I hated to get rid of my nexus. I am just glad that the rezound is equally amazing and where I am at its doing a better job locking on. Again it could have been I had a bunch of bad phones but if you was in my shoes and was given the same ultimatum that this would be the last nexus until the update or you can do an exchange some of you would take another shot at nexus #5. I on the other hand because I paid 800+ (full retail) looked at going with the safe pick. In the end it worked out for me and I am happy it did.

I originally was going to buy a Nexus. The main reasons I passed on it at the time were no SD and the fact that it was a little big IMO.

In hindsight, the lack of hardware Nav buttons would have been a huge factor as well. I think Google is making a mistake treating a phone like a miniature tablet. Screen space matters a lot more on a phone than on a Tablet.

Actually the screen nav buttons are really nice.

I agree that they look cool, but they are less functional. They take up pixels on-screen and when hidden, you do not have immediate access to them.

By contrast, if a video is playing (for example) I can hit home or back with one "click" if I have hardware buttons.

The only real advantage to soft button IMO (other than the fact they look cool) is that you could customize them or swap them around. But I think navigation controls are fairly well established and would need to remain consistent. This is something that works on a tablet because you have room to spare. On a phone...not so much.

Nah. Soft buttons are the future.
